In response to the COVID-19 pandemic threatening to bring in-person services to a standstill, VOICES youth staff at the Sonoma, Napa, and Solano centers jumped into action and tackled the challenges of this crisis to ensure that there was no disruption in our vital services and that youth maintained access to necessary resources. Using strict health & safety protocols, all three VOICES centers have remained open and available to youth.
VOICES youth staff have been busy hosting online life skill workshops, covering topics like applying for financial assistance, practicing self-care and building coping techniques. For youth in the community who cannot get to a VOICES center due to the pandemic or other barriers, youth staff prepare and deliver food, hygiene, and wellness bags. And youth staff continue to support youth with their education, employment, and housing goals through socially distant and virtual methods.
While working within safety guidelines, VOICES staff continue to support youth in BIG WAYS!
