Sustainability is at the core of everything we do
• Our university is home to one of Canada’s largest geothermal systems. The 370 bore holes beneath Polonsky Commons provide heating and cooling to the north Oshawa campus buildings.
• The Pollinator Project began in 2016 and we have since planted more than 9.5 hectares of pollinator gardens and 21,000 trees.
• There are nine green roofs throughout campus that aid drainage, retain heat and improve air quality. Roof runoff water is also collected in a cistern to reduce the university’s fresh water consumption of treated water from municipal sources.

One of only two such pathways in Canada, students in the Kinesiology program can apply after the first year of Kinesiology for the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) pathway. Up to 25 students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 are admitted to this pathway by Ontario Tech. Pathway students apply to CMCC in year two and if accepted, they can complete their Ontario Tech and CMCC degrees in seven years instead of eight.

Minimum score of 70 with no sub-score below 60.
Cambridge English: Advanced Minimum score of 180 with no band lower than 170.
Duolingo
Minimum score of 120 (Education and Nursing programs require a total score of 130).
IELTS
Minimum overall score of 6.5 with no sub-score less than 6.0 (Education and Nursing programs require a minimum overall score of 7.0).
Oxford ELLT
Minimum score of 7 (Nursing and Education programs require a minimum score of 8).
Pearson (PTE-Academic)
Minimum score of 58.
TOEFL
Internet-based test (iBT) with a minimum total score of 83 (Education and Nursing programs require a minimum total score of 87), and minimum scaled scores of Listening: 20; Reading: 20; Speaking: 19; and Writing: 20.
TOEFL iBT Home Edition results are also considered acceptable. Paper-delivered test results are reviewed on an individual basis. The university’s TOEFL code is 7178.
