On behalf of all the consignors I would like to welcome you to the 2025 edition of the OSA Fall Classic Sale. This year’s offering has something for every kind of operation. Whether you are a long-time Shorthorn breeder, new to the breed or a commercial beef producer I am sure you will find something to suit your needs.
These are certainly exciting times in the beef business. It is a great time to rejuvenate your herd with new genetics to move your program forward for years to come. There is a wide variety of rare and unique pedigrees in the offering, along with some exciting services to the bred females. The breeders stand behind their programs so you can buy with confidence.
We would like to thank Ross Laycock and Shannon Kingston of Trailview Shorthorns for donating half the proceeds from their lot 1 calf to the Ontario and Canadian Junior Associations. Ross and Shannon are passionate supports of the junior program.
We plan to once again have the cattle in the sale barn and ready for viewing Friday afternoon/evening. If you are unable to the attend the sale and would still like to participate please contact any of the contacts listed in the catalog and they would be happy to assist you in a professional manner. Netti has been a favourite, since she made her appearance on April 1! She is a heifer’s heifer that packs a lot of attractiveness into a compact package. She is by PVF Dunkirk 86L (a JSF Palermo son), out of a JSF Times Square/ Shadybrook Perfect daughter that we bought at Shadybrook last year. Who doesn’t love a Times Square?
Ross and I have long been proud supporters of our Shorthorn youth, and so we decided to do something big to assist both the Ontario Junior Show, as well as the Canadian Junior Shorthorn National Show. We have decided to donate 25% of the selling price for Netti to EACH of the OJSA and the CJSA! The winning bidder will be supporting both of these great associations! Remember that when you bid!
We would be happy to assist any Junior showing at Erin or Olds in 2026!

Nillie was the last to join the heifer pen, but she was definitely one we kept our eyes on all summer in the pasture. Sired by JTPH Storm Surge 59K (one of the winningest sons of Firestorm), out of a Free K-Kim Hot Commodity daughter, this April heifer would make a great Jr Yearling prospect. Less than 24 hours after being brought into the barn, she had been haltered, tied, groomed and even clipped! She will be easy to go on with. We would be happy to offer assistance to any Junior competing with Nillie in Erin or Olds in 2026!

Netty is out of one of Holland Lane’s original cows, a Muridale Mable who has never missed the mark, but this year, she definitely outdid herself! Sired by JTPH Storm Surge 59K, this heifer is the perfect mix of performance and eye appeal. She is halter broke and very easy to handle. In the words of Grant Alexander, she is very correct on her legs, deep sided with capacity, and has a beautiful head and neck that blends well into her shoulder. We would be happy to offer assistance to any Junior competing with Netty at Erin or Olds in 2026!

Nectar is an attractive RWM girl, out of a Windyview cow we bought here two years ago as a bred, who has passed along her quiet demeanor to this daughter of Little Cedar Worldwide 1979 ET. His daughters in production have excellent udders, and it looks like he has gifted this to Nectar as well. She is show broke, and easy to handle. She will look great as a bred next year! SNOWDON FRECKLES 1F
This Square One (Time Square) daughter is sure to make an excellent addition to any herd, and would be an ideal 4H project. She’s attractive, feminine and will make a very productive cow. Her twin sister has already been spoken for as a 4H project for next year.
