At Newell, we are committed to ingredients and manufacturing processes that respect the environment to offer you sustainable care. Whenever possible, we use organic, natural, sustainable, and biodegradable ingredients in our formulas.
Eco-friendly bottles
We use 100% recyclable PET, 100% recyclable HDPE or 100% R-PET (100% recycled PET) bottles, wherever possible, made from waste materials. R-PET bottles are slightly different in color from regular PET bottles. In 2014, more than 57% of PET bottles had already been recycled through different processes. 20% of PET bottles are used for bottle-to-bottle recycling.
Eco-friendly packaging
We apply eco-design criteria to minimize the environmental impact of those factors that are considered most relevant, such as CO2 emissions. We use vegetable inks whenever possible and our packaging is FSC certified. The FSC Principles and Criteria describe the essential elements or standards of environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable forest management.
Eco-friendly labels
Our labels are made from a recycled PET film with a thickness below the standard (70% less plastic) that is manufactured from consumer waste, favoring a circular economy and reducing the carbon footprint by 70%, in comparison to non-recycled material labels.

Project: Stop Hunger in Kayes Newell has partnered with the Action Against Hunger in a project for nutritional and food improvement in the Kayes region (Mali). Anti-lice Lotion The Anti-lice lotion kills 100% of lice in just 2 minutes and kills 100% of nits in 10 minutes. Its gentle composition guarantees the highest efficacy without damaging or greasing hair. The lotion keeps the natural protection of the child’s skin and hair.
Directions
Apply the lotion on dry hair, impregnating the base and scalp until it is completely soaked, insisting especially on the nape of neck and the area behind ears.
Lightly massage and leave the lotion for 10 minutes (ensuring the complete elimination of nits).
Comb hair with a lice comb, from the scalp through the end of the hair, to remove dead lice and nits (eggs) after the treatment.
To wash off the product, apply shampoo directly on dry hair, without adding water (as the product repels water). Massage scalp and hair and afterwards rinse thoroughly with water. Repeat washing to remove any product left.

Protect Spray The Protect Spray contains organic tea tree oil, an ingredient traditionally used to keep lice away. Its formula is enriched with Panthenol (provitamin B5) that protects hair from the heat of blow dryers. It allows an easy detangling without pulling, leaving hair soft and silky thanks to the 100% biodegradable vegetal based fatty acids.
Directions
Shake before use. No need to rinse off.
Apply on hair, washed and towel dried, keeping the spray at about 15 cm away. It can also be used on dry hair to detangle and protect it. It is ideal for daily and continuous use.
Efficacy The Protect Spray has been tested by independent laboratories, obtaining excellent results. Its formula free of parabens, alcohol, PEG, or C5, C6 short chain silicones - Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclohexasiloxane - allows greater protection of the delicate skin and hair of children.

Protect Shampoo The Protect Shampoo, protects and hydrates hair, making it easier to comb. Contains organic tea tree oil, traditionally used to keep lice away. It is formulated with plant-based ingredients and enriched with oatmeal amino acids that soothe skin and soften hair. Easily remove the Anti-lice Lotion, leaving hair clean and shiny. It can also be used daily as a protective shampoo.
Directions
Apply shampoo directly without water once the Anti-lice treatment is finished.
Distribute throughout hair.
Massage the hair.
Rinse with plenty of water and wash hair again. It can also be used as a regular shampoo since its composition respects and naturally softens hair.
Premium Lice Comb The Lice Comb removes lice and nits. Its dual micro channeled teeth effectively remove lice and nits without hurting the scalp.
Directions
Use on dry or slightly wet hair. Using a conditioner, like the Organic Tea Tree Protect Spray, makes it easier for curly or very tangled hair.
Detangle hair and separate into several strands.
Comb hair to remove nits (eggs) and lice. Start as close to the scalp as possible.
Between each tooth and when finished combing, clean the comb with the brush to remove all dead nits and lice.
Finally, clean the comb with alcohol.

Extreme Insect Repellent for Tropical Areas The Extreme Insect Repellent forms a protective barrier on the skin that provides high protection (up to 6 hours) against mosquito bites, including the tiger mosquito, even under the most extreme weather conditions and up to 8 hours in temperate areas. After Bite
Apply to the affected area with a gentle massage. Roll-on of easy application that does not drip.
Apply the product evenly on exposed skin. Apply only to uncovered parts of the body (face, hands, arms, legs and feet).
Distribute the sprayed liquid on the skin and create a protective barrier by hand. After application, wash your hands.
Once the protection time is over, properly wash the area of the body where the product has been applied.
