RESORT RULES
Hours: See your info packet for Welcome Center, Base Camp Lodge, Laundry and Store hours. After Hours: Use Call Box located in wooden box between Laundry and Welcome Center. Emergency: Call 911. Phones are located at the Welcome Center and the Store. After hours Emergency, use the call box to contact staff. The Base Camp Lodge: Children under 16 require adult supervision at all times. The Base Camp Lodge is under video surveillance. Speed Limit: 5 MPH, NO EXCEPTIONS. This rule includes bicycles, skateboards, roller skates, and scooters (helmets required age 18 and under). This is for your safety as well as other campers, children, pets and wildlife in the campground. Violators will be warned once. Repeat offenders will be asked to leave the resort. Guests: All guests must display a guest pass. Guest fee is $10/day. DO NOT CHARGE ELECTRIC VEHICLES AT CABINS OR PEDESTALS. NO RIDING IN THE BED OF TRUCKS. Bicycles, Skateboards and Scooters, etc.: Riders must obey all road regulations. If under the age of 18, a helmet is required by law. Helmets are required when driving motorized vehicles w/o roof. Noise: Please respect your neighbor. Excessive noise will result in your expulsion from the resort. Quiet time is from 10 pm to 7 am. During quiet time, children under the age of 18 must be in their respective campsite or under the direct supervision of a parent or sponsoring adult. Generators: Not allowed on tent sites and only allowed on RV sites in the event of a power failure. Quads, Motorcycles, etc., can only be ridden with a valid driver’s license to and from your campsite. Campfires are allowed in a fire ring only, and cannot be higher than knee-high at any time. Fires must by attended at all times and extinguished when not attended. To extinguish the fire, please use water and stir ashes until the fire is out. Propane: Please ask at the Welcome Center for pricing on refills. No refills after dark. Propane exchanges available at the store during normal business hours. Trees: It is prohibited to hang or tie anything to trees or break off branches. Clotheslines & Electrical Cords: Clotheslines in campsites and electrical cords running from bathrooms are prohibited. Mail & Messages: The Resort does not accept member or guest mail. If you have a medication or other emergency mail need, please contact the Welcome Center. RV Sites: Are assigned. Bears: Dumpsters are closed at dusk to prevent bear activity. See Welcome Packet for additional Bear information. Pets: Pets must be on a leash at all times and never left unattended. PACK IT IN PACK IT OUT.

NEARBY ACTIVITIES
Rainbow Pool: Natural swimming hole with beautiful flowing waterfalls. Take Yosemite Lakes Road to Highway 120. Turn left heading west and continue for approximately 4.9 miles, turn left at the end of Tuolumne River bridge. Look for the sign “Rainbow Pool”. Swimming is best in summer, July through September, but fishing and hiking are good all year long. Carlon Falls: Take Yosemite Lakes Road to Highway 120. Turn right, continue for 4.4 miles then turn left on to Evergreen Road. Travel one mile to Carlon Falls Trailhead parking area. Approximately 1 hour hike to the falls (3.2 miles roundtrip). Hetch Hetchy Reservoir (Part of Yosemite National Park): Worth visiting in all seasons. In spring, two of North America’s tallest waterfalls plummet spectacularly over thousand-foot granite cliffs. In the early spring through late fall, visitors have easy access to a vast wilderness filled with high-country lakes, streams, and wildlife. A rare snowy winter day gives adventuresome visitors a chance to explore on skis or snowshoes. Take Yosemite Lakes Road to Highway 120, turn right. After 4.4 miles turn left on Evergreen Road. Continue for approximately 18 miles to O’Shaughnessy Dam. Open 8am to 7pm.

ATTRACTIONS
Getting to Hetch Hetchy Hetch Hetchy is located 38 miles (61 km), or about 1 hour and 15 minutes from Yosemite Valley. The Hetch Hetchy Road begins just outside of the park on Highway 120, near the Big Oak Flat Entrance Station. Hetch Hetchy is accessible only by car. There is no public transportation to this area of the park. Vehicles and/or trailers over 25 feet long and 8 feet wide are not permitted on the narrow, winding Hetch Hetchy Road. Clean Water from the Tuolumne River Hetch Hetchy is on the main stem of the Tuolumne River and is part of the Tuolumne River watershed. The Tuolumne River originates in the peaks above Tuolumne Meadows and is the major drainage system for the northern part of Yosemite. The Tuolumne River continues through Tuolumne Meadows and the associated park developments at an elevation of 8,600 feet. It then cascades on its westward descent through the Grand Canyon of the Tuolumne, and enters the eastern end of Hetch Hetchy Reservoir. Hetch Hetchy is dammed by the 430-foot-tall O’Shaughnessy Dam and has a storage capacity of 360,360 acre-feet. It is the primary water source for about 2.7 million residents of the San Francisco Bay Area.
