Moses Lake, on which the city lies, is made up of three main arms over 18 miles long and up to one mile wide. It is the largest natural body of fresh water in Grant County, and has over 120 miles of shoreline covering 6,500 acres. Before it was dammed in the early 1900's and then incorporated into the Columbia Basin Project, Moses Lake was a smaller, salty, shallow lake. One of its early names was “Salt Lake”. To the south of the town is the Potholes Wildlife reservation that has a number of deep lakes and vast amounts of migratory birds and other fauna natural to the area. Larson AFB, five miles from the city of Moses Lake, was originally named Moses Lake Army Air Base. It was activated in 1942 as a temporary World War II training center. Major Donald A. Larson, for whom the base was later renamed, was from Yakima, Wa. The Base was closed in 1966. Larson AFB, since renamed Grant County International Airport, is now a world-class heavy jet training and testing facility used by the Boeing Company, the U.S. Military and NASA. Columbia Pacific Aviation now handles charter passenger service to and from Moses Lake. With 4,700 acres and a main runway 13,500 feet long, it is one of the largest airports in the United States.

Guidelines for an Enjoyable Stay Please take a moment to read the rules and explain them to your younger non-reading family members. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to regulations. Check-out: Please check out or re-register by noon. You may not stay and use pools/facilities past noon if you have not re-registered. Speed Limit: 5 mph ~ Strictly enforced ~ watch for children at play ~ follow directional signs. Tents: By permission only. Parking: Park in the space assigned. Do not extend rear bumper over grass. Do not park your automobile on an adjacent site even if it is vacant. Please do not park on the grass. Quiet Hours: 10 pm to 7 am. Children and teens must stay at your campsite after 10 pm unless with a parent. Alcohol: Alcoholic beverages are prohibited outside of your own campsite. Children: We like to see them having fun, but children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older while in the pool area and game room. Boats/Jet Skis/ATVs on Trailers: Parking is available in the upper parking lot. Bicycles/Rollerblades™/Skateboards/Scooters: Allowed on roadways only. Stay off sidewalks and out of breezeways. Not allowed after dark. Please follow directional arrows. Carpets and Mats: Not allowed on the grass. Campfires: No campfires are allowed. This includes propane and wood fires. Barbecues: BBQ grills are not allowed on grass. No wood in BBQs. Visitors: Please let us know ahead of time if you are expecting visitors. All visitors must check in at office, pay a daily admission fee, register their vehicles, and park in visitor parking lot only. Visitors are not allowed to bring pets into the Resort. Visitors must leave the Resort by 9 pm. On holiday weekends and high occupancy times, we may restrict or simply not allow visitors in the Resort.
Pets: Leashes required at all times. Walk your pets in designated area only and clean up after them. NO pets in any buildings or pool area. Pets must not disturb other guests. DO NOT LEAVE THEM UNATTENDED. Pets are not allowed on tent sites. NO Hazardous Dogs Allowed ~ This includes any dog with a known propensity, tendency, or disposition to attack unprovoked, to cause injury to, or to otherwise endanger the safety of humans or other domestic animals. Also, any dog known as an American Pit Bull, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Rottweiler, or Presa Canario breed of dog or any mixed breed of dog which contains an element of the breed of American Pit Bull, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Rottweiler, or Presa Canario as to be identifiable as partially of the breed of American Pit Bull, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Rottweiler, or Presa Canario. Pool: Hours 9 am to 8 pm. No lifeguards on duty. Pools are Shallow ~ No diving or jumping into pools. Please read and follow all posted pool rules. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older. No diapers allowed in any of the pools. Proper swim attire required at all times. Slide Pool: An adult must be present at slide pool with children under 13. An adult must be present at slide pool to enforce rules. Children over 13 are not allowed to supervise younger children. Sorry, but no adults allowed on slides. Spa: Did you know that children under 6 should not use the spa? According to the Washington State Public Health Association, young children’s body temperatures rise faster than adults. Their small bodies cannot absorb much heat, and their sweat glands are not fully developed. Would you leave your small child in a hot car with no ventilation? Protect their health and keep them out of the spa, please. No toys or floating devices allowed in spa. If you want to play, do so in the pools ~ not the spa. No horseplay. Do not climb on center grate. Please be courteous of others.
This is privately owned property. We reserve the right to select clientele and guests. We also reserve the right to evict, without prior notice, anyone who is in violation of our guidelines. No refund of fee will be made in such an event. We will not be responsible for accident, injury or loss of property of any kind. We reserve the right to amend the Resort Guidelines at any time, if deemed necessary. Page 6
