• Fires: Campfires are permitted only in park-established fire rings. Fires must be attended at all times. Cutting firewood is PROHIBITED.

• Quiet Hours: Noisemakers, fireworks and any unnecessary disturbances are prohibited at all times.

Devices producing noise such as vehicles, stereos or other motor-driven equipment must not be operated at a time or in a manner that would be unreasonable, annoying or endangering to other people or damage park property. QUIET HOURS are from 11:00 pm to 6:00 am.

• Parking: All wheeled vehicles must be parked on established paved or graveled parking areas provided at each campsite or parking area. DO NOT remove barrier logs, posts, cables or rocks.

All wheeled vehicles, including trailers and motorcycles, must stay on established roadways and parking areas. PARKING ON GRASS IS PROHIBITED. NO PARKING in unoccupied campsites— only park in the site you have paid the fee for.

• Pets: Pets must be leashed. Leashes may not exceed 10 feet. Pets must be in the presence of owners or confined within the camper’s unit.

• Alcoholic Beverages: It is prohibited to possess or consume alcoholic beverages in excess of 6.0% alcohol by weight in any area within the state park. It is prohibited to possess or consume alcoholic beverages in areas designated “No Alcohol Allowed.” Glass containers are not allowed.

• Sanitation: Draining sewage and/or grey water from a trailer or recreational vehicle, except in facilities provided for that purpose is strictly prohibited. DRAINAGE OF ANY WASTEWATER ON THE GROUND IS PROHIBITED.

• Campsite Fees: Fees are due daily by 2:00 pm . Campsites must be vacated by 2:00 pm or fee(s) will be due.

It is prohibited to use unmanned aircraft. It is prohibited to possess, destroy, injure, deface, remove, dig, kill, or disturb in or from its natural state: living or dead wildlife or the parts thereof, such as antlers, nests, or skins; non-fossilized and fossilized paleontological specimens, cultural or archaeological resources, or the parts thereof; the feeding, touching, teasing, frightening or intentional disturbance of wildlife, their nesting or breeding sites or other aspects of wildlife habitat; metal detecting devices; and the gathering and removal of nuts, berries and fruits or any other natural product, except when authorized by a permit upon determination that the gathering and removal will not adversely affect park wildlife, the reproductive potential of a plant species, or otherwise adversely affect park resources, as determined by a Park Manager.

• Park Office and Information: The park office and gift shop are located at the park entrance to the Indian Point Area on the north side of the lake. 405-360-3572 • Picnic Sites and Group Shelters: Lake Thunderbird State Park has 10 group shelters and 8 family shelters that may be reserved for picnics, family reunions, etc. For reservations and/or availability please visit RV.OKparks.com.

Lake Thunderbird State Park also has 22 shelters that are available on a first come, first serve basis.

• Sanitary Facilities: There are 15 comfort stations with showers, 3 without showers, 5 vault toilets, and 4 sanitary dump stations.

• RV Sites and Tent Sites: There are over 200 RV sites, with 30 of them being full hookup, 53 with 50 amp service and over 150 designated tent sites.

• Lake Thunderbird Nature Center: for outdoor educational activities AND interpretive talks and displays 405-321-4633.

• Fishing, Boating, Skiing, Swimming: There are 9 boat ramps, 4 covered fishing piers, and 1 open fishing pier. Lake Thunderbird also maintains 2 swim beaches, one in the Little Sandy Tent area and one at the Little Axe Campground.

• Trails: There are over 22 miles combined of nature, hiking, and mountain bike trails. Also, 0.2 miles of ADA trails are located in Turkey Pass Campground.

• Hunting: Deer archery and shotgun waterfowl hunting is permitted in season and only in designated areas of the park. A Parking Pass is required. You can obtain one at PremiumParking.com.

• Activities: The park has 2 marinas, play groups, and a practice archery range (the park does not currently provide targets).
