Guest Information

To ensure everyone enjoys their stay, please adhere to the following rules:

Arrival/Departure

You may check in any time after 1 PM on the day of your scheduled arrival. Our check out time is 11 AM. We do not refund for early departures or adverse weather. If you invite a guest to visit you in the park, please advise them of day/overnight fee and instruct them to check in and pick up a vehicle pass. Day visitors may enjoy the day with you, but must leave the park by 9 pm. If you invite a guest to visit you in the park, they must check in at the office to pay the appropriate fee and obtain a vehicle pass. The site occupancy is 6 people; this includes day guests.

Parking

We allow one camper unit, two vehicles, and one golf cart or ORV per campsite. You will receive a car pass to display on the windshield of your registered vehicles. Please do not park on vacant sites or encroach on the roadway. Overflow parking for non-camper trailers,boats, and extra vehicles is available upon request for a fee.

Campsite Use

Clotheslines are permitted only if kept under the awning or fully attached to the camper. We have several dumpsters located throughout the park for disposal of your rubbish, there is no trash pickup at your site. On-site swimming pools are not allowed. All of our sites are full hook up sites and require a donut gasket and/or a 90-angle for sewer hookups. Please be respectful of your neighbors and do not cut through campsites.

Safety Measures

We do our best to ensure a safe and secure environment during your stay. Please be a good neighbor and adhere to the quiet hours from 10 PM to 8 AM. Loitering in the park is not allowed after 11 PM. We are not responsible for loss, theft, vandalism, accidents or injuries resulting in or around the park. Please secure your own valuables. Guests who cause damage or injuries are responsible for their actions. Weapons, fireworks and drones are not allowed in the park.

Campfires

We hope you enjoy a nice campfire while you visit us, but please be aware that ground fires are not permitted within the park. You may bring an enclosed, off-the-ground fire pit. Beach fire permits are available at the front desk.

Washing of Vehicles, RVs and Boats

You may stop by the gate house to obtain a permit and pay the appropriate fee for washing vehicles RVs, and boats.

Flags of any kind that indicate or display profanity are not allowed.

Vendors

If you would like to sell your wares or services while in the park, please obtain prior approval and bring a copy of your sales and use tax certificate.

Pet Policy

We are a pet-friendly park and want your pets to enjoy their stay as well! We hope your pet will visit the Bark Park located near the playground area. The Bark Park is open from dawn to dusk. We do ask that you keep your pet on a leash and pick up after them. We do not allow pets in the buildings, pool areas, tennis court, bathhouses or rental units. Pets may not be left unattended in the park or at your campsite. Before you bring your pet, make sure they have an up-to-date rabies vaccination record on hand. As the owner, you will be responsible for any damages or injuries to other pets, customers and campground property.

Motorized Vehicle/Bicycle Policy

We share the road in our park with motor vehicles, bicycles, golf carts, ORVs and pedestrians. Please restrict your speed limit throughout the park to 10 MPH and follow the rules of the road. We allow only licensed drivers to operate motor vehicles, golf carts and ORVs in the park. We require registration of your golf cart or ORV upon arrival. We would like to see you after dark, make sure you have a working headlight on your golf cart/ORV and an appropriate light on your bicycle and scooters.

Swimming Pool Policy

Our swimming pools are a great way to relax while you are on vacation. We hope you enjoy our pools! Please note that we do not have a lifeguard or babysitter on duty. Swimming is at your own risk. Children under age 14 must be attended by an adult. North Carolina Health department regulations do not allow children under 12 in our hot tub. Non-toilet trained children are allowed in the kiddie pool only and must wear swim diapers. If there is an accident in our pools, we must close them for 24 hours. If you have a communicable disease, eye, ear or nasal infection, please do not enter the pool areas. We do not allow glass containers or smoking/vaping in any of our pool areas.

Camp Hatteras is a privately owned family campground. Our rules and regulations are for the consideration of all of our guests. Disorderly conduct of any kind is a violation of the guest guidelines and may result in removal from the park without a refund. We reserve the right to implement additional rules as deemed necessary.
