Beautiful 20-mile-long Bear Lake is the undisputed star at this new KOA. Build sandcastles, wade in for a swim or launch a kayak or paddleboard in the lake’s remarkable turquoise waters. Boats and personal watercraft have an easy launch about 2 miles away. Take your off-road vehicles on nearby trails or explore the backcountry on a guided horseback ride.

GUIDELINES FOR HAPPY CAMPING Park your RV or pitch your tent, then head for nearby Bear Lake and prepare for a stunning view.

This deep 20-mile long natural lake straddling the Utah/Idaho border is nicknamed the “Carribean of the Rockies” because of its turquoise water and white sand beaches.

Fish, sail, jet ski and soak up the northeast Utah sun. If you’re towing a boat, the marina is a mile north of the KOA. Drive along Bear Lake Road that rings the lake or explore the many hiking, biking and four-wheeling trails. The campground also rents bicycles.

Our KOA offers a heated pool and a wading pool for kids, as well as Ping-Pong, a pool table and a playground. In summer, hosts serve up the weekend Hungry Bear pancake breakfast. Shop for fresh fixings at the KOA grocery store.

See the area attractions; just relax and enjoy our scheduled events during our camping season.

GUIDELINES FOR YOUR COMFORT & PROTECTION THE CUSTOMER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR READING AND ABIDING BY PARK RULES • ATVS, SCOOTERS, MOTORCYCLES OR MINIBIKES ridden in and out of park only.

• 1 CAR PER SPACE, additional cars must be parked in overflow parking or may incur additional fees.

• BE COURTEOUS AND RESPECTFUL to your neighbors. Please follow only designated roads or walkways.

Please do not cut through occupied RV sites.

• PETS: Pets must be on a leash, and are not to be tied outside of your site when you are not in the park and are not to be left unattended at any time.

• VISITORS: Must register at the office. Admission fee is required and must park in visitor’s parking only.

• FIRES: All campfires must be kept small and be out by 11:00 pm.

• PARKING: One car permitted per campsite. Additional parking available.

• CIGARETTES: PLEASE DISCARD CIGARETTE BUTTS PROPERLY. • SWIMMING: No lifeguard provided. Swimming is at your own risk. Please dry off before entering buildings.

Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

• RESTROOMS: We intend to keep our restrooms clean. Your help in this area would be sincerely appreciated.

Assist us by not letting water run unnecessarily. Please do not wash dishes in the restroom. A sink is located in the Kamper Kitchen.

• WASHING OF CARS AND TRAILERS IS PROHIBITED. • NO MUSIC/TV/MOVIES AFTER SUNSET. • QUIET TIME: 10:00 pm - 7:00 am. All children must be back to campsite. Day guests are to leave by dark.

Evening campfire talks must be confined to very quiet conversations. No generators.

• Please be aware that water pressure fluctuates.

• Cabins with TV have antenna with minimal reception.

• TRASH: Please place trash in bins.

• GREY WATER: State Law requires grey water be caught in a covered container and disposed of at the Dump Station.

• ALCOHOL: Must be confined to your campsite. MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ASK ANY PERSON TO LEAVE, WITHOUT REFUND, because of excessive drinking or other objectionable behavior.

• VANDALISM will not be tolerated. Parents are responsible for their children’s actions and must assume financial responsibility for any damage or injury caused by them, regardless of age..

• NO FIREARMS, FIRECRACKERS, OR EXPLOSIVES PERMITTED ON THE PREMISES. • JUMPING PAD: Please follow rules posted. Must wear wristband.

• NO PETS IN POOL AREA OR STORES.

Use designated fire pits only.

Keep anything combustible at least 10 feet away from the fire pit.

Clear the area of leaves or other debris that may catch fire.

Never start a fire with any flammable liquids such as gasoline or lighter fluid.

Use crumpled paper or store-bought firewood covered with small sticks for burning.

Keep flammable items at least 10 feet away from the fire. This includes aerosol cans and pressurized containers.

Keep water or a fire extinguisher and a shovel, if you have one, nearby in case the fire gets out of hand.

Do not light fires on windy days or nights. Put the fire out at the first sign of increased winds.

Obey any local burn bars.

After lighting the fire, do not discard the match until it is cold. Douse with water to be sure.

Keep anything combustible at least 10 feet away from the fire pit.

Stack extra firewood upwind, away from the fire.

While the fire is burning, be sure there is a responsible adult in attendance of the fire at all times.

Keep children and pets away from the fire pits and never leave them unattended, even after the flames are out, as there is still a chance of a child or a pet getting burned.

Never allow hot dog or marshmallow roasting without adult supervision, and be sure there is plenty of space between campers while roasting.

PUTTING OUT YOUR CAMPFIRE

1. Drown the fire with water. Make sure all embers, sticks, and logs are wet.

2. Stir the remains, add more water, and stir again. Be sure all burned materials have been put out and cooled. Feel above the fire with the back of your hand to make sure it is out cold.

3. Before you leave the fire pit, be sure all embers, sticks and logs are completely extinguished. Never go to bed and allow the fire to burn itself out.

4. Never remove any ashes from the fire pit.

5. Never leave children or pets unattended near a fire pit even if you believe the fire is out cold.

GOLF (9-HOLE, 2 COURSES): Two 9-hole courses nearby.

WORLD FAMOUS BEAR LAKE RASPBERRIES AND RASPBERRY SHAKES: Enjoy jam, syrups and shakes.

Also in July and August you can pick your own raspberries!

PICKLEVILLE PLAYHOUSE MELODRAMA THEATRE & BBQ DINNER: Dutch-oven dinner and western melodrama summer theater.

Held Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings (Mondays in July).

HORSEBACK RIDING: Horses may be rented for an hour or a day in Logcan Canyon at Beaver Creek Lodge, Inc., at Sherwood Hills or at Bear Lake.

LOGAN CANYON SCENIC BYWAY: Many points of interest plus hiking and biking trails along with good fishing.

Also a winter wonderland with 200 miles of snowmobile trails, downhill and cross-country skiing, sledding and snowshoeing.

THE NATIONAL OREGON CALIFORNIA TRAIL CENTER: Here you will have the most fun you have ever had learning history. Rid a computer-controlled covered wagon, journey the trails with living history interpreters, see and touch the tools and artifacts of the pioneers, and enjoy a campfire in the beautiful evenign setting of the historic Clover Creek Encampment http://www.oregontrailcenter.org.
