It makes sense to facilitate young locals and migrants to work on better integration as well as prevention of migration in homelands.

17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development Initiated by the United Nations in 2016, signed by world leaders of 193 countries, which should be achieved in 2030

17 Global Goals (SDGs) launched in 2016 with the call for action:

With No One Left Behind! .... ... because we can’t succeed achievement of the 17 goals if half of the world is held back. So social inclusion of everyone is very important!

To achieve the Global Goals: #17 Global Partnerships and long term commitment of Global Partners are key (priority)! So it’s time to work together with youngsters from all coutries!

HOW 1 Global Partnerships by the yearly WGT Dialogue for Inclusion Organized in the Netherlands in co-production with NGO’s from EU and Partner Countries.

Started in 2018 with youngsters and young migrants from Albania, Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, France, Nepal, Netherlands, Kenya, Kurdistan-Iraq, Romania, Rwanda and Sweden, With support of the Erasmus+ KA3 program if the grant is awarded.

In preparation of the 3-day conference Martha Mutesi did a Life Story research among young migrants to find the best dialogue topics and question for September 13.

One of the ‘Better Integration’ topics The cultural shock Young migrants often face a cultural shock when they have to integrate.

Dialogue Question How can we minimalize the cultural shock, how can we help them to learn about the culture and get used to cultural differences?

In preparation of the 3-day conference Pradeep Sapkota from Bharatpur Nepal shared his experience as youth worker in his community, working with focus on how to prevent youngsters to leave the community and country?

Youngsters use social media to be in contact with each other on daily basis. By this connection they can share knowledge, help and training/support and use social media to make a better world together.

Wonderful, inspiring experience with Youngsters & YMRA’s from 11 countries& the Dialogue on: how can young locals and YMRAs contribute to better integration & prevention of Migration?

Outcome 1st Dialogue conference 2018 When it comes to solutions for the 2 topics of better integration of YMRA’s and prevention of migration of youngsters there are common basic needs (!!):

•

A strong local community where youngsters and YMRA’s work together on solutions on both topics together.

•

A local hub where youngsters train, coach and help each other to work out ideas for better integration and prevention of migration with help of local stakeholders.

•

For better integration: learning language, ICT basic skills and entrepreneurial skills in a mixed community of locals and YMRA’s.

•

For prevention of migrantion: access to education on ICT basic skills, social entreprenuership to create startups for basic needs as ICT, water, food (agriculture innovation), renewable energy, re use of recources and good internet.

A good follow up is needed!

HOW 2: we organize the follow up with the international & local program FUTURE ROOTS for social inclusion A local & international youth exchange program in which young people from different countries shares ideas and empower each other for social inclusion, more future perspective by social entrepreneurship and employment for sustainable change.

This program already started with: -> a Youth Exchange in 2017 -> a local Future Roots Empowerment project in Eindhoven in 2018 29
