INVITATION Because better inclusion starts with us!

Dear All, On behalf of ONE WORLDcitizens we are happy to invite you to participate in the ‘Life Story Research & Dialogue’ project we organize with young people, young migrants and policymakers in 2018!

We met during the Becoming Part of Europe conference in Amsterdam in October 2017. There we already started the idea that we wanted to do something special to contribute to the outcome of the BPE project (recommendations to the European Commission for better inclusion). We thought about contributing with more Life Stories of young migrants, done by the proactive young people the BPE community we met at the conference, but we would like to create more impact because the topic is very important …. By brainstorming with a small team we came up with the idea that it would be great if we can organize a European Dialogue with policy makers and the young people and young migrants that took part in the Life Story research and a stage for young people who undertake great projects with young migrants.

And now …this is the plan  In March-April we all (young people/youth workers) invite 2-3 young migrants in our city/country by the Questionnaire the Life Story team made.  Before April 26, ONE WORLDcitizens will apply for a KA3 Erasmus+ grant to organize the 3-day Dialogue-conference which will take place in the 2nd week of September if the grant is awarded. All participants of the Life Story research will be invited to join!  In May-June the outcome of the research will be analyzed, summarized and shared.  In July – August, the Dialogue conference will by prepared by Skype meetings with the country teams.  In the second week of September we all will meet at the international Youth conference somewhere in Europe. To share the outcome of the research in a dialogue with European policy makers and to present good projects for inclusion on stage.

By doing this we can contribute to the recommendations for better inclusion in Europe, which will be presented by the BPE project team in October 2018 in Slovenia.
