Team Member to Retire After 25 Years
After 25 years at the mobile mechanical shop in Medina, Texas, Railcar Coordinator Jesus Cepeda is set to retire in July 2025. In 2022, he was recognized as a Be the Difference Safe Performance Award winner for helping rescue a driver from a burning car.
Director of Mobile Operations Richardjames Drummondo expressed his admiration for Cepeda, saying, “Jesus is an all-around great guy. As a U.S. Navy veteran, it’s in his core to help others.”
Drummondo highlighted Cepeda’s expertise in railcar maintenance, noting, “Jesus is the go-to guy for anything railcar. He’s always offering invaluable advice and catching needed repairs. He’s been an incredible asset to the Watco team, and we’ll deeply miss him.”
Operations Manager Joe Torres added, “Jesus is a true team player who always looks out for everyone. We are all going to miss him and are immensely grateful for his contributions over the years.”
