What's Happening at the CHamber? One of the questions I hear regularly is, “What’s happening at the Chamber?”
Club. This is always an important conversation because what happens at the State House has a direct impact on the businesses we represent every day.
The short answer? A lot! This time of year is always exciting for me because as summer winds down, the Chamber really starts to come alive. Our calendar fills up, our members get busy connecting with one another, and we have some great opportunities ahead to bring the business community together. rence in our community. In addition, believe me; you don’t need to attend everything we offer. I know you’re busy running a business! Our goal is simply to provide enough variety that you can find the opportunities that are right for you.
I’ve always believed that people do business with people they know, like and trust. In today’s incredibly connected digital world, that basic truth hasn’t changed. Sometimes the most valuable business conversation still happens face-to-face.
Which brings me back to what the Chamber is really all about. Yes, we organize events. Yes, we create networking opportunities. Yes, we provide programs and resources. But our bigger responsibility is to be the Voice of Business. That means showing up. Building relationships. Listening to our members. Working with elected officials on both sides of the aisle. Advocating for policies that help businesses grow and bringing people together to find common ground and move our region forward. I’m proud of what our team accomplishes every day, and I’m even more excited about what’s ahead. So, make sure you’re receiving our Chamber emails, follow along with what we’re doing, and—most importantly—come see us. You never know who you’ll meet, what you’ll learn, or where that next conversation might lead.
