OUR MISSION OneOC's mission is to accelerate nonprofit success.

We envision a world where nonprofits possess an abundance of skills, resources and connections to effectively deliver on their missions. Our vision focuses on why we exist and channels these resources, skills, and connections through our stakeholders to translate nonprofit readiness into reality.

OneOC provides training, consulting, back-office, and volunteer support for nonprofits, and helps companies build and grow their employee volunteer and giving programs to maximize charitable activities in the community.

SPIRIT OF VOLUNTEERISM The 45th Annual Spirit of Volunteerism Awards, “Extraordinary Circumstances, Everyday Heroes,” was held virtually on Thursday, April 29, and served as a way to celebrate the outstanding and innovative service of community volunteers, groups, and corporations.

NATIONAL DAYS OF SERVICE OneOC’s Days of Service are four national volunteer days that unite individuals, families, service clubs, businesses, schools,and faith-based organizations in volunteerism throughout the year: MLK Jr. Day, Earth Day, 9/11 Day of Remembrance, and Season of Giving.

EMERGENCY VOLUNTEER CENTER Emergency Volunteer Center

The OneOC Emergency Volunteer Center is a reception and registration site that supports emergency response officials throughout Orange County by engaging and safely deploying

spontaneous engaging volunteers to respond to critical needs and/or long-term recovery.

2021 was a very active time for EVC members.

EMPOWERING DIVERSE NONPROFIT LEADERS Volunteer Leadership Engagement to Achieve Diversity

In effort to tackle the lack of diversity amongst nonprofit boards, OneOC in partnership with OC Human Relations launched the pilot program called V|LEAD: Volunteer Leadership Engagement to Achieve Diversity. This program provided training support to 15 volunteer leaders from eight companies and representatives from six partner nonprofits in the areas of volunteer leadership and best practices in diversity, equity and inclusion.

In November 2021 OneOC, in partnership with Charitable Ventures and funded by the Wells Fargo Ready for Business fund, launched the Ready to Grow initiative aimed to grow capacity in Orange County’s nonprofit sector, specifically among BIPOC-led and/or serving organizations, with revenues less than $1M by offering free resource and training.

Ready to Grow welcomed 25 OC nonprofits to be a part of a 9-month Peer Learning and Coaching Cohort to focus on capacity-building and growth, along side 25 nonprofit coaches

FISCAL SPONSORSHIPS Fiscal sponsorship is a formal arrangement in which a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization sponsors a project for an organization that lacks tax-exempt status. OneOC is a proud Fiscal Sponsor to 50 active charitable projects in Orange County focusing on areas related to Animals, Education, and Health and Human Services.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHT GREEN: GETTING RESIDENTS ENGAGED IN EMPOWERING NEIIGHBORHOODS Started fiscal sponsorship in February 2020.

"We would describe our experience at OneOC as transformational. When GREEN Programs from the Madison Park Neighborhood Association (MPNA) applied to become a fiscally sponsored project of OneOC, we were on far less stable ground. In less than a year and a half, our fiscal project completed a strategic plan, substantially increased program funding, doubled the size of our staff, and revamped our website. The guidance of OneOC was instrumental in our growth."
