FaithSpark Ignites the Next Generation

“Faith Spark allows ministries to disciple kids year round, using technology already familiar to that age group. ”

In July 2020, the mission launched MyCamp, an online application (app) used via Smartphone or tablet, that lets camp leaders host live online events and safely connect with kids for follow-up discipleship.

With the MyCamp app up and running, One Hope Canada wanted other faith-based organizations to similarly benefit, so in midJanuary, the mission repurposed the app to create Faith Spark.

Ministries subscribing to the Faith Spark app can choose from four pricing levels, and customize the app’s look with a logo, theme color, or unique headings.

Faith Spark facilitates hosting live online events, and provides a safe environment for chats between leaders and kids. Organizers can disciple their seven to twelve-year-olds by presenting material and conducting quizzes and Q&A sessions in camp or church ministry settings.

One Hope Canada’s App Ministry Director Erica Mair is excited that Faith Spark will allow ministry leaders to connect with the kids they serve, especially when person-to-person contact is limited or impossible.

“We want to see children come to know Jesus in a deeper way as they use Faith Spark as part of their spiritual journey,” says Erica. “Faith Spark allows ministries to disciple kids year round, using technology already familiar to that age group. We trust God will use this app to further His kingdom, and that we can grow a community of like-minded ministries that desire to see kids come to know Jesus.”
