Celebrating Our 75th Year

AND LOOKING AHEAD

I hope this letter finds you well. As we celebrate the midpoint of our 75th year, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude for each one of you who has contributed to our journey thus far. This occasion marks a significant moment in our history—a testament to our resilience, innovation, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

Reflecting on our achievements over the past seven and a half decades, it is clear that our success has been driven by the dedication and hard work of our team, the support of our partners, and the trust of our members. Together, we have navigated challenges, embraced opportunities, and forged a path of continuous growth and transformation.

Looking forward, we are excited to embark on the next phase of our journey. As we plan for the next 75 years, we are committed to building on our strengths while embracing new opportunities and challenges. Our vision is bold and ambitious, rooted in our core values of integrity, innovation, and sustainability.

I am pleased to share that we are in the process of developing a strategic plan that will guide us through the next milestone in our company’s history. This plan will focus on harnessing emerging technologies, expanding our footprint, and driving sustainable growth. We are confident that with your continued support and dedication, we will achieve even greater success in the years to come.

Once again, I extend my heartfelt thanks to each of you for your contributions to our company’s success. Together, we have accomplished so much, and I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. Let us continue to work together, innovate boldly, and make a positive impact on the world. Here’s to celebrating our past achievements and creating an even brighter future together.

Warm regards,

Investing in Community:

A PARTNERSHIP THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE

In a heartwarming display of community spirit and corporate responsibility, The ONE Federal Credit Union has joined with the Meadville Area Recreation Complex to significantly enhance recreational opportunities for the local population. This collaboration not only marks a milestone in community development but also underscores the positive impact when businesses invest in the well-being of their neighborhoods.

The partnership between ONE FCU and the MARC began with the baseball complex renovation. This expansion created a space where families, athletes, and individuals of all ages could come together to engage in this healthy activity and foster a sense of community. It also opened up the possibilities for larger tournaments to be held, bringing in revenue to the community when teams visit the area. Recognizing the importance of accessible recreational facilities, ONE FCU made a substantial financial commitment to renovate the existing complex, as well as an ongoing maintenance agreement, ensuring it meets the growing needs of the community.

A second contribution was made when the ice arena began having difficulties remaining frozen. ONE FCU contributed funds to help replace the dehumidifier. This new improved dehumidifier unit allowed the ice arena to stay open and provide access for sports like ice hockey, figure skating, and other recreational programs. These programs not only promote a healthier lifestyle but also strengthen social bonds and community cohesion.

Moreover, the collaboration between ONE FCU and the MARC serves as a model of how businesses can play a pivotal role in supporting local initiatives and fostering sustainable community development. By investing in the infrastructure that directly benefits residents, ONE FCU demonstrates its commitment to corporate citizenship and enhancing the overall quality of life in the area.

As we celebrate this inspiring collaboration between ONE FCU and the MARC, we are reminded of the transformative power of partnerships that prioritize community wellbeing. Through shared vision, dedication, and a commitment to making a difference, they have set a shining example of how businesses and local organizations can come together to create positive change.

Your ONE Wish

MAKING WISHES COME TRUE

In April, the 75th Wish Committee granted its first wish to Saegertown Area Library for $500 to support their Summer Reading Program, “Adventure Begins at Your Library”. We went on to grant more wishes including portable microscopes to French Creek Valley Conservancy to aid in educational programs, puzzle tables to Wesbury for their activity center, a fridge to Linesville Library for their Summer Lunch program, backpacks to Child to Family Connections for children in need, and more. We are still granting wishes to individuals and nonprofits across our communities. Just keep watching for our signs to see where the 75th Wish Committee has reached!

Member Surveys RESULTS INDICATE YOU’RE SMILING!

We recently rolled out a new member survey program to gauge service satisfaction. You may be familiar with the kiosks and displays in our lobbies that ask, “Did we make you smile today?” Across all five of our locations, we have received a total of 707 responses in the last quarter. Given your feedback, our team is focusing on improving members’ wait time to provide a better experience, and overall, leave you smiling after every interaction. We hope you will continue to leave feedback as we wish to continue improving your experience.

Youth Day

CELEBRATING YOUTH

FINANCIAL LITERACY

And so went another successful Youth Day ONE! Throughout April, our team emphasized youth financial literacy—helping kids open savings accounts, getting working teens their first checking and direct deposit setup, and overall discussing the value and importance of personal finance. Youth Day is our way of saying “awesome job!” every year to all the kids who participate and continue to maintain their accounts. We celebrated with activities, prizes, donuts from Donut NV, and entertainment with Tree Family Party Piggies! But something our members may not have expected was the surprise visit by the Centsables team! Six fearless friends whose greatest power is to help you make smart financial decisions for the rest of your life…beginning here and now.

WHAT FAMILIES ARE SAYING:

“My young daughter opened her own account last year for Youth Month and loved the activities that went along with signing up. What makes ONE the best is all the fun events held to make banking that much brighter. Hands down the best family bank I’ve ever had. Thank you ONE!”

“We bank at ONE because of the friendly atmosphere and because they always take the time to make the kids feel included and knowlegeable.”

“ONE is a great place to teach the kids about savings. We opened a Graduation Growth Fund.”

“We love ONE. Youth Month is always fun.”

RELAY FOR LIFE

SATURDAY, JUNE 22ND

ONE put together a team to show support at Crawford County’s Relay For Life. Our volunteers spent the day participating in the relay and handing out refreshments.

May LOVE YOUR PET MONTH

We shared kindness in May with a social media conversation about how much our pets mean to us. The Love Your Pet photo contest sparked joy for many as people shared stories about their pets and what they appreciate most about them. Over the course of four weeks, we had four winners of the photo contest, one from each category including Furry Friends, Scales & Tails, Barnyard Buddies, and Feathered Family. We enjoyed learning about the scaly, four-legged, and feathered creatures that complete your family, and we hope you did too!

FIRST RESPONDERS

APPRECIATION

This month, we invite our members to show kindness to our first responders, like our amazing firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and EMTs. They are the everyday heroes who keep our community safe and sound by leaping into action during emergencies, often risking their lives to protect ours. We enourage members to attend their charity events, volunteer alongside them, send cards & care packages, or even just to give a shout out on social media.

April

AUTISM ACCEPTANCE MONTH

Every April, the Autism Society works to build an inclusive community where autistic individuals are embraced and supported to achieve the highest quality of life. So, we invited our members to join us in spreading kindness by donating funds to help purchase flexible seating for local autistic support programs. We’ve been working with classrooms to make this happen, so you’ll have to stay tuned to find out how it goes!

June

NATIONAL FAMILY MONTH

In June, we kicked off the summer season with a discussion about family financial literacy. Members who participated in the discussion on Facebook were entered into a drawing for four tickets to Waldameer to celebrate National Family Month with their loved ones. Ariel, the winner of the drawing, shared her best practices saying, “Our kids each have their own debit cards that their allowance is on. They also receive $100 every 3 months for their toiletries. If they go over budget, they have to cover with allowance. If they stay under, they can chose to save or buy something extra. We also explain why sometimes we can’t do certain things or buy “unnecessary “ items so we can save for something we really want.”

We thank everyone who participated in the discussion and we hope that Ariel and her family had a great time at Waldameer! 3
