In the early 1960’s a young man from Southern California named Jim O’Neal had a passion for motorcycles that simply couldn’t be stopped! Riding out and around in the foothills of Los Angeles, Jim soon found himself racing with some of the world's best as professional Europeans started to invade America’s TT and off road racing. As racing progressed, Jim was in need of better parts, apparel and accessories to withstand the demands of what soon would become American Motocross. Out of necessity for something better, Jim founded O’NEAL USA in 1970 and a company was born.
The same passion that was the foundation for the company’s inception still drives O’NEAL USA today. To make better parts, apparel and accessories so that riders can get out and race with the world's best. The painstaking process to develop product and protection is still fueled by the drive to provide customers with riding essentials for all types of tracks and terrain.

The RDX 2.2 comes complete with safety and comfort features that are second to none! Constructed with a Full Tilt RDX Pivot system, the 2.2 allows for the natural flexibility of your feet and lower legs all while maintaining rigid lateral form. Each buckle on the RDX is constructed of alloy aluminum and features a double pin locking system for a secure closure every time you ride. The soles of your feet are covered with a full, “Army Rubber” bonded sole carrying an interior full steel shank for added rigidity, protection and strength. Comfort is kept key as you slip into the RDX. Ergonomically placed interior gel aided by foam pillow ankle support keeps your feet firmly in place without pinching, binding or causing discomfort. On weekends In the early 1970’s, we would hit the “Dunes” to go riding. Indian Dunes was without a doubt the mecca for moto! Just a short drive from LA, The Dunes had it all! A Mini Cycle track, the Shadow Glen Track, and the International track. There was also an oval track for flat track racing as well as a small river and sand wash that ran through the property. The entire Indian Dunes park was over 600 acres with over 400 acres of trails to cruise around. From hardpack to soft sand and everything in between, the dunes had something for everyone to ride and race on.
Just about every weekend Indian Dunes was host to some of the fastest racers in California.
Local superstar riders, as well as National caliber racers, were fixtures at the Dunes. In addition, the Dunes hosted local celebrities and movie stars who liked to ride and race including that of the legendary Steve McQueen.
The O’NEAL head office is still based just a few miles away from our favorite track of all time. We are proud to bring you Indian Dunes Originals. Daily wear that brings you a little piece of your youth and a time gone by. A time when getting dirty daily felt right. When beating your buddies to the finish line defined your entire existence. No cell phones or video games needed.
