Welcome to your November edition of SO magazine.
It's fair to say that very few of us saw the second lockdown due to ongoing coronavirus coming this swiftly. That's why, only last week when we were putting the finishing touches to this month's issue we were focusing on how we could help support our beloved town's retailers and restaurateurs. We certainly had no idea that for the whole of November we would have to stay away from it due to Covid-19 numbers escalating. Sadly therefore much of the content is temporarily invalid as our theatres, restaurants, bars and cafes and non-essential shops will all be closed until at least December 2.
However, that said, many of our retailers and hospitality sector will still be operating - online and as takeaways - and so now more than ever - as our cover reflects - we do really need to support our myriad of small businesses and independents.
