Understanding cod meter and test and measurement equipment!

When we talk about a portable cod meter, we mean a handy meter that delivers accurate results for nearly any COD application. The cod meter tells the contamination in the water (done by the organic issues). So basically for this COD function, a calibration medium is used to measure the concentration with a much higher degree of accuracy. To elaborate more, the COD Meter is an instrument which is used for Chemical Oxygen Demand measurement in the influent flow of wastewater treatment plants. Its measuring range is around 0 - 50 g/l, 0 - 50 mS/cm The chemical oxygen demand meter has a self-explanatory menu. The meter is used in control of quantity oxygen consumption in the chemical oxidation of organic and inorganic material present in the water (in mg/L). The measurement of COD is one of the most important factors for the waste matter release. The results must follow factors according to local legislation in force. Let’s look at some of its features: Direct readings in mg/LO2, Long duration cold light source, the Storage is up to 99 quantities, Have Registration and discharge readings in standard form. If we describe Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) then it is a measure of the physically present and still organic matter that is subject to oxidation by a strong oxidizing agent. Companies like Hanna work this COD method as per closed dichromate-reflux colorimetric method. The sample is added to the reagent vial and digested under closed reflux conditions and allowed to cool before the measurement is taken Reference standards can be made using potassium hydrogen phthalate (KHP), 1 mg of KHP is equal to 1.175 mg COD. The advantage of using this method includes certifiable results as well as
