Courchevel est unique. Sensations fortes ou traditions savoyardes, dépaysement ou fêtes endiablées, en famille ou entre amis, Courchevel plaît à tous ! L’histoire de notre famille est intimement liée à celle de la station. Alors qu’elle n’était encore qu’un village de montagne, mon père, Joseph ClaretTournier, en homme visionnaire, y posa la première pierre du bar l’Équipe, devenu depuis un lieu incontournable. À sa mort, ma mère, Catherine, mon frère et moi-même avons continué à faire vivre sa philosophie : proposer un luxe abordable où le client est roi. Chaque maison, avec son ambiance, perpétue l’art de “bien recevoir à la française”.

Aujourd’hui, avec mes enfants, la troisième génération arrive aux commandes ! Nils revisite cet hiver le restaurant La Casserole, tandis que Joy reçoit pour déjeuner au Cap Horn et tient avec panache les commandes du Floor en soirée.

Du bar d’ambiance au restaurant d’altitude, du burger soigné à la gastronomie gourmande, pour une soirée romantique ou une fête sur les pistes, la Maison Tournier répond à tous les goûts et toutes les envies.

While it was still just a mountain village, my visionary father, Joseph Claret-Tournier, laid the first stone of the bar “L’Equipe”, now one of the resort’s most popular meeting places. When he died, my mother, Catherine, my brother and myself continued to uphold his philosophy: offer affordable luxury and always remember the customer is king. Today, all of the resort’s establishments, each with their own special atmosphere, continue to perpetuate the art of “hospitality à la française”.

And now, thanks to my children, the third generation is taking up the reins! Nils is revisiting the restaurant “La Casserole“ this winter, while Joy will be receiving lunch guests at the “Cap Horn“ and playing Master of Ceremonies at “Le Floor“ in the evenings.

Si aujourd’hui, Courchevel est l’une des stations les plus réputées du monde, avec un domaine skiable exceptionnel, l’histoire a débuté dans les années 50. En quelques décennies, la station est devenue un incontournable de l’hiver.

Courchevel, c’est avant tout l’histoire de quelques pionniers du ski en Savoie.

Après-guerre, l’idée de développer les sports d’hiver apparaît comme l’opportunité d’attirer la jeunesse dans le massif des Trois Vallées.

After the war, the idea of developing winter sports emerged as an opportunity to attract young people to the Trois Vallées mountain range. The resort was just a mountain village at the time, but Jo opened the bar “L’Equipe“ in 1948 – a meeting place that was soon to become a must.

The resort really took off between the Fifties and Seventies, before Courchevel 1850 asserted itself as a skiing mecca for the show biz world.

In 1992, the resort’s renown spread even further when it was selected as the venue for the Albertville Olympic Games ski jumping and Nordic combined challenges, hence expanding its renown.

At the same time, Maison Tournier began to expand, with the opening of hotels, restaurants, lounge bars and night clubs. When Joseph Tournier died, his wife and son took over this Made in France enterprise. Hubs of lifestyle, affordable luxury, and bespoke services, Les Maisons Tournier continue to perpetuate the values of their founder and keep the spirit of Courchevel alive and kicking.

Just a few days before the Christmas festivities begin, the whole resort will be celebrating the year’s biggest sporting event, as Courchevel welcomes the world’s best women skiers for the giant slalom challenge of the Women’s Alpine Skiing World Cup. The running order will be picked out of a hat by the Tinkoff Saxo cycling team.

The word’s top specialists will be getting together for this grandiose competition, combining firework displays and music against a backdrop of snowy mountain tops…

The “3 Vallées Enduro“. An original day out with all the family to discover the Trois Vallées ski domain. In teams of three, measure your skills with a series of exciting challenges including freeride, big air bag, freestyle and a family downhill race – a great chance for everyone to have fun in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Savoie buffet lunch, followed by prize-giving ceremony at the end of the day.

Les Festives de Pâques. Bal pour petits et grands, balade nocturne sur le front de neige et surtout, chasse géante avec plus de 10.000 œufs en chocolat cachés dans toute la station.

16/17 avr. La Féria

An Easter Festival Ball for all the family, featuring a night walk on the snow front and not-to-be-missed giant egg hunt, with over 10,000 chocolate eggs hidden throughout the resort.

The White Feria. A weekendlong event celebrating the end of the season, with highlights including meetings with the Courchevel champions, introductions to biathlon and snow scooter driving skills, a Big Air Bag, together with a host of entertainment at the Family Park.
