Carter Loewen took the ball in the bottom half and gave up a leadoff single which turned into a run on a sacrifice fly two batters later. With the score 6–3 and two outs, Brad Norton drew a walk before Cole Cummings singled. Matt Voelzke then took a walk to load the bases, bringing up Brandon Hupe, who had not batted all night. Loewen got ahead in the count 0– 2 before Hupe cleared the bases with a double off the wall in right-center, tying the game. Fischer then swung at the first pitch and hit a ball to nearly the same spot, scoring Hupe and setting off a wild Falcons celebration. Sunday’s game, Lefties starting pitchers threw 33 innings, allowing 18 hits and two earned runs in five of the six games on the road trip. The Lefties finished the road trip 4-2, winning two of three games in both Bellingham and Kelowna. Thursday’s loss, combined with a Victoria win, pushed Port Angeles three games back in the division with ten games to play.

The roster has seen much turnover since the Lefties last played a WCL home game, as A.C. Chavez, Nick Berry, Jeff Jamison, Justin Fugitt, Connor Denning, C.J. Schauwecker, Nick DiPonzio and Baxter Halligan have all left the team. Newcomers such as Ian Fitzgerald and Brad Altomarie have shown they are more than capable of filling in, however. Both players picked up multiple hits in Kelowna while also coming through with quality defensive plays.
