Green Crow and Clallam County Sheriff Bill Benedict are sponsoring a ride for one in the iconic T-34 Mentor, a vintage Navy Training aircraft superbly restored and maintained by John David Crow.

Developed shortly after World War II, the lucky winner will be given a back seat in the T-34 for a lunch downtown at Next Door Gastropub.

On the way over and back, the recipient will be given basic flight instruction and have the opportunity to actually fly the airplane.

#4. Dinner for 8 with Chef Michael Diem A six course meal in your home paired with fine wines

Before Michael Diem moved to Sequim he was a renowned chef in San Francisco, Seattle, Santa Monica and Sun Valley, Idaho.

After graduating from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco (where he worked with outstanding chefs at some of the best restaurants in the city), he was the Chef de Tournand and sous chef at Fuller’s Restaurant in Seattle.

From there he opened the Broadway Bar and Grill in Santa Monica, designing a restaurant that received critical acclaim. From there it was off to Sun Valley, where he opened a fine dining restaurant in an affluent ski resort town.

Fortunately for all of us on the North Olympic Peninsula, Chef Michael has relocated to Sequim – “I can enjoy the peace and tranquility that this area has to offer. Sequim represents all of the best features of Washington.”

Fund a Need for Cancer Center 100 percent of funds raised will go towards Olympic Medical Cancer Center

For the first time, cancer has surpassed heart disease as the leading cause of death for Americans under 85 years of age, and in Clallam County, cancer is the No. 1 cause of death for all age groups. The number of patients treated by the OMC Cancer Center has increased by 157 percent in the last 10 years, and with the retirement of baby boomers, another 40 percent increase is expected.

#11. Beer Making and Artisan Pizza Tom and Rhonda Curry will be your hosts for this evening

Like many native Californians, Tom struggled with all the rain in the northwest until he figured out what to do with it: start fermenting it!

And so Barhop Brewing was born in Port Angeles.

You will have a fun evening for you and seven guests! You will learn about the actual beer making experience from a local brewer, and you and your group will enjoy a delicious dinner centered on artisan pizza in the 840 degree Italian pizza oven at Bar Hop.
