Festival of Trees Goes Mostly Virtual The 30th Annual Festival of Trees is being produced like it never has before – most of it will be virtual, but a limited number of people will be able to view the elaborately decorated trees and wreaths that are featured at the event yearly. Because of COVID-19, all events will be held in an alternative format: 1. Festival of Trees Gala , presented by First Federal– The Gala will consists of a virtual show and auction, but anyone who purchases a Gala ticket will be able to view the trees in person on Wednesday, November 25 or Friday, November 27. Each purchaser will select a viewing time in order to limit visitation to no more than five people per room during the preview. Masks and social distancing will be required. The Gala itself will be held virtually from 5 – 8 pm Friday night, when the trees and wreaths will be auctioned off. “The Wednesday and Friday in person viewing will allow for attendees to look at the trees live before bidding,” said Festival of Trees chair Lindsay Fox. 2. Teddy Bear Tea – Each ticket holder will be allowed to sign up for a ticket viewing time between 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. – so that only a maximum of five people will be in a viewing room at any one time. Each person will be given 30 minutes to view the fabulously decorated trees and wreaths, and will receive the usual cookie, beverage, and Christmas favor. All attendees must wear masks. Santa photos will also be offered only to attendees, and will be taken with Santa (socially-distanced from your child 10 feet away), who will be on a set with Christmas decorations in the background. Attendees must sign up for a separate time to get their photo taken, so that the number of people in the room will be restricted to five people or less. 3. Family Days, presented by The Lodge at Sherwood Village, Fifth Avenue Retirement Center and Sherwood Assisted Living -- Attendees will be able to view the decorated tree and wreaths on Sunday, November 29th and take a photo with Santa. Each ticket holder will be allowed to sign up for a ticket viewing time between 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. – so that only allow a maximum of five people will be in a viewing room at any one time. Masks and social distancing will be required.

2020 Festival of Trees Schedule of Events and Ticket Prices: Friday, November 27– Festival of Trees Gala, presented by First Federal, 5:00 p.m. Dinner and wine will be provided for each ticket purchaser for pickup. Tree auction and silent auction of wreaths and other items will be presented virtually. $105 each. Saturday, November 28– Teddy Bear Tea, for parents and children, 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $12.00 each or $250 for a VIP Package of 10. Each ticket holder will be able to view the trees and wreaths in person, and photos with a “socially-distanced” Santa will be available. Kids will also receive a holiday gift bag! Sunday, November 29 - Family Days, presented by The Lodge at Sherwood Village, Fifth Avenue Retirement Center and Sherwood Assisted Living. $7 each. Each ticket holder will be able to view the trees and wreaths in person, and photos with a “sociallydistanced” Santa will be available. Now in its 30th year, the annual event is a three-day fundraiser for the Olympic Medical Center Foundation. Elaborately decorated Christmas trees and wreaths created by some of the area’s best designers are featured during the event.

“We live in unique times,” said OMC Foundation Executive Director Bruce Skinner. “Our committees have developed a plan that will allow for attendees to view trees at both events in person, but safely.”
