And the response to the 2019 Sarpy County People’s Choice Awards show how glad people are to work, live and play in the county.

There are plenty of businesses here, and this event gave them an opportunity to shine and residents a chance to show their support.

“The community has really embraced this,” said Paul Swanson, general manager for Suburban Newspapers Inc. In its sixth year, the competition

drew more than 32,000 votes.

Winners were invited to a celebration at Bellevue Little Theatre, where packets were handed out and a group photo was taken by Kent Sievers. That photo appears at the center of this publication.

The top vote-getters in each of the 169 categories are listed in alphabetical order. In the event of a tie, four winners are listed in a category.
