Jefferson Island Environmental Education Center 20'
Fall 2021 Jefferson Island, LA I designed a research and education center that was heavily influenced from the site. Jefferson Island, Lousiana is located above a salt dome that contains old salt mines from the industrial era. My design has four teraces located directly above the salt mine marking a pillar in the room and pillar mining system. Each terace has a building occupying one full legnth of a terrace. Walls of the pillars 1000 feet below ground are extruded up to protrude through the landscape and portray the large scale of the mines. Which can be seen in my site plan and diagrammatic site axon. The viewer becomes a part of a system much larger than themselves 4 ARCH 2021

Tulane Depot Perspective (NTS) Livi Bowers
Spring 2021 New Orleans, LA The Tulane Depot serves as an archival gallery which contains a mixture of private and public spaces. The interctions between these private and public spaces are marked by cylinder shaped rooms, containing the reserch rooms, confrence rooms, and more special, private archives. I designed two courtyard for the Tulane Depot. One that contains a tomb from Meteri, located in the public sector. The other is a private courtyard for the office workers. ARCH1012 DESG2012

The Mouli Cheese Grater Spring 2021 When tasked with choosing a small tool to draw and design with for half of a semester, I choose the Mouli Cheese Grater. The grater has three main movements that make it very intresting to observe and portray. The first drawing shows the grater in an oblique moving axon amoung a field of its grates to create a grid. The second drawing has a high density of line work on the right side of the page, this was a decison made based off the nature of the tool. The tool is highly complex and dense of the right side and the full movement extends all the way to the left side of the page. 16

The Pedestal Project Spring 2021 After designing layouts for the Mouli Grater, I was tasked with designing a pedestal to hold and display the tool. My design shows the grater’s handle movement in four different positions rotated across the pedestal. In the final position, the grater’s handle would be able to make full rotations for the process of grating. A slot was added to allow the post grated contents to fall out of the pedestal. Below is an unrolled elevation of the pedestal which shows the variations of cuts made to properly display the grater. To the right are two model

The Game Plan Fall 2021 The game plan was a series of projects that called for a building plan to be traced and then collaged together with other plans. I drew a plan from OMA’s Casa da Musica and collaged it with other plans that my peers drafted. This progessed into a worm’s eye view of the new structure as well as a axon post processed.in illustrator and photoshop.
