Jesus “El Pollo Bellorín

He was born in El Salado, Antolín del Campo municipality, Nueva Esparta State, on December 24, 1953. At 16 years of age, he began as a gallery owner in one of the socalled promises that were held in the towns of the Isla de Daisy flower. In more than 40 years of activity in the singing of the gallery, El Pollo Bellorín has performed in all the places of the insular region where Cruz wakes and gallery festivals are held nationwide.

He has also represented Venezuela in 11 international meetings in Mexico, Spain, Brazil, Panama, Colombia, the Canary Islands and Peru. He is the founder-director of the groups Compaioó, Perlas del Caribe and San Martín, of the San Martín de Porres School of Traditional Songs, president of the Association of Galleronists of Nueva Esparta state and coordinator of the traditional song schools of that same entity. Likewise, he is the author and composer of a significant number of musical pieces, as well as the producer of three CDs and the Galerón Gold Record in Venezuela.
