50 Years of Camp Good Counsel

Years of Camp Good Counsel

Each summer, dozens of GC students volunteer to work one-on-one with children from underserved communities at Camp Good Counsel. Swimming, crafts, sports, art, field trips, music and more make up four weeks of unforgettable experiences for the volunteers and campers. Founded in the 1970s as a way to help adults with mental disabilities, the camp has evolved to become what it is fun-filled opportunity for growth and memory building for everyone involved. Children in the camp are referred to Good Counsel by elementary school counselors. This summer marked the camp’s 50th year.
