Each year, Good Counsel's Grand Celebration highlights a special area that calls for the support of our school community. At the conclusion of the evening, you will receive a text message from OneCause instructing you to check out. All certificate-only prizes will be emailed to the winners by Wednesday, April 1, 2026. All other auction items must be collected from Our Lady of Good Counsel High School by Monday, March 30, 2026 between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

No exchange or refunds on auction items are permitted. Everything is sold “as is.” Please read specifications and limitations carefully.
Resolution of Disputes
In the event of a dispute, the Auction Chair will have sole and final discretion to determine the winning bidder. The buyer waives any claims for liability against the school or its employees, the auction volunteers, or the donor of the property or services.
Donation Shelf Life
Unless otherwise specified, all auction items and services must be used within one year of the auction. Unless specified, dates and times are to be arranged at the mutual convenience of both the donor and the buyer.
Withdrawal of Auction Items
The Auction Committee reserves the right to withdraw any item for sale prior to the auction.
Payment
All auction items must be paid for in full (cash, check, credit card) the evening of the event. All items must be removed from the premises by Monday, March 30, 2026. Assistance will be available to help winning bidders carry and load items into their cars.
Check Out
Check out will happen through OneCause. Winners can check out right from their mobile phones with their credit card and pick up their item(s) in the Litton Gym.
Tax Information
Only the excess of the price you pay for the auctioned item or service, over its fair market value, is deductible for income tax purposes as a charitable contribution to Good Counsel. Your donations of items and services are deductible as allowed by law. Good Counsel is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
Online Auction Bidding Using Your Phone
OneCause allows wireless bidding. All bids must be made through OneCause. To place a bid, find the item, select it, and enter either your bid amount or select Auto Bid to set a MAX BID. When you’ve been outbid, OneCause will automatically bid on your behalf up to the MAX BID amount you set using the bid increments provided.

Our Lady Award recognizes an individual who has provided outstanding volunteer support and a tremendous commitment to the school.
A proud Good Counsel parent to daughter Maura ’23 and son Ryan ’26, Beth Martin and her husband, Tom, have been generous and involved supporters of Good Counsel since they joined the GC community. Beth stepped in from the start to volunteer in many roles, including serving as a parent class representative, moderating the Class of 2026 Facebook page, and serving as a parent liaison to the baseball program to keep parents informed, organize service activities, and plan fundraisers. She has been active with the Parents’ Association, planning fun activities for students, such as trick-or-treating, visits from a dog rescue, and shaved-ice treats at the end of the school year, and organizing staff appreciation initiatives. She has volunteered for admissions for Open House and parent tours, 8th-grade interviews, and admitted students’ nights. She has helped plan Post Prom for the last six years. Beth has dedicated her time and energy to helping keep parents informed and involved.

The 1958 Cornerstone Award recognizes outstanding and thoughtful generosity of time, talent, and treasure to Our Lady of Good Counsel High School.
Jon ’85 and Rosanne Calure have been dedicated Good Counsel supporters for over 21 years. Proud parents of Camille ’19, Jillian ’21, and Roman ’26, the Calures have given of their time and treasure to support the campaign to build the Olney campus, the Performing Arts campaign, the baseball renovation project, and the Fund for Good Counsel. For many years, the Calures also supported the school as Community Partners with their company, Maryland Vein Professionals. Jon has served as a thought leader on the President’s Council of Advisors, offering feedback and advice on relevant issues in education and school culture. Jon is an active alumnus with his class, the class of 1985, who are perpetual leaders in class participation and giving, as recognized by the Class of 1985 Way sign in front of the school.

James & Chris Corcoran '83
The Concordia Award recognizes a foundation or corporation that has had significant philanthropic impact on our students and school community.
Triumph Development is a commercial, resort, and residential developer, custom home builder, and luxury property manager. James Fangmeyer ’83 serves as a cofounder and principal overseeing the Bethesda office and the company’s holdings along the East Coast, and Chris Corcoran ’83 runs Triumph Custom Homes from their Northern Michigan operations. Together, they are passionate about building relationships, living by their values, and honoring their customers’ visions. Triumph has been a Community Partner since 2015. James and Chris are both alumni of the class of 1983. James ’83 and his wife, Amanda, are a legacy family to Good Counsel, with daughters Audrey ’13, Mary Ruth ’23, and Magdalen ’28, and sons James ’11, Xavier ’16, Leo ’18, Jude ’20, and Joseph ’26. Their son, Kolbe, is expected to graduate from GC as a member of the class of 2033, the same year James and Chris will celebrate their 50th reunion.

Stan Spottswood '81, P'10,'10,'14,'15
The Magnificat Award recognizes a member of the Good Counsel faculty or staff who enthusiastically “answers the call” to inspire our students to excel, serve, and love. The award recognizes exceptional commitment, exemplified through longstanding tenure, that has an immeasurable impact on our students and school community.
For over 20 years, Stan Spottswood ’81 has served the Good Counsel community as a musician and educator, leading our talented choir program. Nationally known as a pianist, conductor, published composer, and choral music educator, he has performed with many of the great music minds of his generation. As a pastor, Stan has used his talents to blend sermons and music and says his greatest role is to help his students succeed and grow as musicians and individuals. In honor of Stan’s dedication, kindness, and compassion, the Ramsammy/Eversly family established the Stan Spottswood Servant Leader scholarship in his honor, which is presented to a choir student. Stan and his wife, Savolia, are also parents of four Falcons, Stanley Jr. ’10, Stephen ’10, Simeon ’14, and Savolia ’15, and have long been supporters, giving to the campaign to build the Performing Arts Center and to the school’s greatest needs.
Katherine Prangley Liola '97
The Br. Bob Arrowsmith ’63 Distinguished Alumnus Award recognizes someone who demonstrates a commitment to faith, service, and Good Counsel; who has achieved professional success; and who has made significant contributions to society through leadership, volunteerism, and philanthropy.
Katherine Liola ’97 is the founder and CEO of Concentric Private Wealth, which focuses on an innovative approach to integrate the core principles of asset management and financial planning with the human experience. A certified financial planner, Katherine is sought after as an industry speaker and has been featured on Bloomberg Radio, quoted in publications including the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and Investment News. She has collaborated with CNBC as part of their financial literacy project to help empower and transform how people think about their lives and money. Prior to launching Concentric in 2012, Katherine spent 11 years working in the financial services industry She is passionate about supporting charitable causes and brought Concentric Cares to her company to create connections with the community and elevate the power of giving Katherine served on Good Counsel’s Board of Directors for seven years from 2009 to 2016 and chaired the board’s Finance Committee She has also been an alumni mentor with her alma mater, Boston College, served on the Finance Advisory Board of Directors for the National Communication Association, served as Vice Chair of the Success in the City Board of Directors, and served on the leadership of the Greater Washington Signature Program. Katherine has supported the Fund for Good Counsel, the campaign to build the Olney campus, and the Performing Arts Campaign.
