I wanted to give a big THANK YOU to Sue Miller. Sue stepped seamlessly into the role of our Volunteer Coordinator, giving countless hours to our volunteer program. We genuinely appreciate everything she has done for the Museum as the main contact for our volunteers. Thank you Sue!

We are so lucky and beyond grateful to have so many volunteers that are dedicated to the Museum.

Happy Fall and we hope to see you soon!

Special Exhibit Opening

Mark your calendars! On Monday, October 7th, at 4:30 PM, the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum will debut a special traveling exhibit featuring over 20 stunning paintings by the renowned Western artist, Arthur Roy Mitchell.

About the Artist: Arthur Roy Mitchell, often known as “Mitch,” was born in December 1889 on his family’s ranch near Trinidad, Colorado. Growing up in the Wild West, he witnessed the last days of the pioneers, outlaws, and cowhands along the Santa Fe Trail. These early experiences fueled his lifelong passion for capturing the spirit of the West through his art.

Mitchell’s work is celebrated for its vivid portrayal of the Western landscape, cowboys, and horses, reflecting his deep connection to the land he loved. His legacy lives on through his art, which continues to inspire and captivate audiences.

This exhibit is made possible by the A.R. Mitchell Museum of Western Art in Trinidad, CO. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience the work of a true Western icon!
