A Letter from Conference Leaders

Greetings in the name of Christ.

We appreciate each of you and your commitment to God’s kingdom as it comes on earth as it is in heaven. United Methodists across Oklahoma are vital to the extension of Christ’s mission into the world for the transformation of it. As we move toward Lent, Easter and the trio of conferences which are forthcoming - General, Annual and Jurisdictionalwe are launching a spiritual formation series called “The Word: A Study through the Book of John.”

Each week you will receive an email from the conference which will include a devotion on a chapter of John’s gospel, a seven day prayer focus, a list of scripture readings and a suggested daily prayer. Each of the devotions is written by a leader in our conference and you will be blessed by them.

The first email will arrive on Monday, February 19 (the first Monday in Lent) and will conclude 21 weeks later on the Monday that the South Central Jurisdictional Conference begins. Throughout the series, you will have the chance to pray for each of our churches on one particular day.

If you do not normally receive emails from the conference, you can sign up for the weekly emails here. We pray this project will assist you as we move throughout these important times in the Christian year and the United Methodist calendar.
