Transformin

This pavilion is designed to be a place for visitors to practice civil discourse in a healthy and peaceful environment.

Civil discourse is a transformation in one’s self as they broaden their understanding and attempt to deepen their beliefs.

Transformation is achieved through learning about other’s beliefs, comprehending their argument, establishing a balance between both of your decisions, and creating a unity as human beings together

Each pillar that surrounds the pavilion represents these steps in the transformation process.

Vulcan Museum

The legendary Vulcan statue of Birmingham, Alabama was in need of a multisensory museum that showcases the history of Birmingham as the “Magic City.”

This group project focused on multiple exhibits that showcased different elements of the city including a gallery to show the industrial background, an art gallery showcasing the local artists, and two skylight spaces: one to show the statue above the building, and one to show the cityscape of Birmingham.

Dominican Community Center

Located in the Dominican Republic, this community center is a way for the Haitian migrant farmers living in the Bateys to have a place of their own. This group project consisted of traveling to the Bateys in the DR to learn the desires and struggles of the residents.

The space consists of an office, restrooms, kitchen, storage, large open space, community gardens, and a spiritual area for meditation. Electricity and running water were not a guarantee for this project so the open ceiling and unique walls help with airflow while still allowing shade in the space.

Flight Club

Flight Club is a social darts club and bar founded in London. The design for this Birminghambased location is located in the old Avondale Gin Company factory. This factory is in an upand-coming area and highlights a large part of history as this was the largest cotton gin manufacturer in the world at one time. This area caters to the young adult population with its nearby breweries and nightlife.

The goal of this design is to create a space that facilitates relationships and allows people to try new things.

Finders Keepers

You have been recruited to join the ranks of detective agents at The Forgotten Bureau of Investigation

Your mission is to find lost items related to the disappearance of the NYC Aristocrat who discovered the Lost Land technology used by the FBI to solve mysteries, Sir Charles Henry Astor IV. Tour two areas of interest using the Lost Land Portal, the last place he was seen, the NYC Subway, and his office, and collect images of the objects identified as evidence using your Discovery Device.

It will be up to you to look for these items and solve any riddles involved with his disappearance. Leveling up within the FBI will gain you access to more classified evidence and could lead you closer to learning what happened to The Founder. Trips using the Lost Land Portal are short and timed to ensure that you don’t become lost yourself, so be quick and gather as much evidence as possible before time runs out; progress is stored in your file, so don’t be the slowest rookie in the agency, promotions are on the line

Not to Scale

This project, Finder’s Keepers - An interactive I-spy game, was a partner assignment that tasked us with creating a game that had a story.

My classmate, Christian Spencer, focused on the story and overall presentation while I focused on the technical design work and rendering.

This building will take up 26% of the 1 acre allotted land

Parking and landscape is estimated to take up about 22%

The rest of the 52% will be made up of landscape or unused with the intention of future expansion.

Inside

Mytheria

A beautiful land of deep forests, crystal blue water, and high mountains, Mytheria is a dimension in which the creatures and animals from folklore, myths, and legends are real. This land was first discovered in 2023 when Professor Michael Collins was experimenting, trying to prove that parallel universes were real. It was then found that this world was not a parallel universe of ours, but a whole new world that contained mermaids, dragons, centaurs, and more. When Collins first explored the world, he was greeted by Malae, a kitsune who was previously thought to only be a myth from Japanese folklore This kitsune, or more precisely deemed a tenko, is a type of spirit in many Japanese folktales who are depicted as either mischievous or good spirits that can transform from a fox into a woman It was after Malae showed Collins this new land that he believed others from his world should be able to visit, and Malae was also wanting to meet new people from his world. He made a plan with Malae that he would bring people through the portal that connected into her living room of her small but cozy home so that they would be able to sit, have tea, and talk about their worlds, thus Inside Mytheria was born.

Wizards Home

A mischievous creature has made a mess in the wizard’s house - Where is he hiding?

This project focused on the storyboard process for designing themed experiences - from sketches to full color renders and drawings

Initial black and white concept

When walking up to the isolated house deep in the forest, you hear crashes, shouts, and colorful light flashes

Follow the trail of spilled potions, knocked over books, crooked pictures, and tiny footprints to the unused fireplace

Final Color Renders

The old kind-hearted wizard informs you he has accidently summoned a mischievous creature and it has made a mess of things. He asks you to try and find where the creature is hiding while he goes to clean himself up

You found it!
