KC Sheperd grew up on her family’s farm in Canute, Oklahoma, where she developed a love for agriculture and broadcasting. After earning her master’s in English from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, she built her career in radio at stations across Oklahoma and Texas before becoming Farm Director at the Radio Oklahoma Ag Network. An active member of the National Association of Farm Broadcasters, KC serves as South Region Vice President. She and her husband, Jordan, are raising twin daughters, Crosslee and Londyn, who share a passion for farm life and music.

Lake Carpenter is Senior Vice President at Bank of Western Oklahoma, Minister of Music at First Baptist Church of Leedey, and a high school basketball broadcaster for Paragon TV. A graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University, he is a dedicated community leader, serving with organizations including the Elk City Rotary Club, Western Oklahoma Family Care Center, the Leedey Education Foundation, and as a gubernatorial appointee to the Regional University System of Oklahoma Board of Regents. A lifelong advocate for youth, education, and agriculture, Lake is also a proud father to two talented daughters who share his passion for serving their community.

AUCTION PROCEDURES Silent Auction
Silent Auction items are located around the perimeter of the room and denoted under Marquis and Princess sections. Each section will be open for bidding beginning at 6:00 p.m. To bid on Silent Auction items, simply write your bidder number and the bid amount on the bid sheet located by the item on the table. Be sure to note the minimum bid raise amount by which you must increase the bid of the previous bidder. Bids raised lower than the minimum bid increase will be raised to the minimum bid increase amount. Silent Auctions will close following the Live Auction. (See Schedule of Events)
Live Auction
Live Auction items are located at the front of the room, near the stage. To place a bid during the Live Auction, simply raise your hand or program.
PAYMENT PROCEDURES Live & Silent Auctions
Payment should be made for all purchases at the end of the evening. Cashiers will assist each buyer personally. Once all items have been paid in full, you may then collect your items.
AUCTION RULES Each participant must register for a valid bidder number, which can be used for both Silent and Live Auctions. Payment must be made before the end of the evening in the form of cash, check or card. Checks should be made payable to the Diamond Hats. Purchaser must present paid receipt to collect the purchased item(s). Arrangements for removal of items must be made by purchaser at his/her expense. All items must be removed by midnight on Thursday, September 10th. Failure to arrange for a trip, meal party, etc. within the time specified and according to any stated conditions and/or limitations imposes absolutely no obligation on the donor, the Diamond Hats or the Oklahoma Youth Expo. All auction items are sold “as is” with no expressed or implied guarantees or warranties, except those which may be supplied by the donor or manufacturer. Tax and gratuities are not included on gift certificates, unless stated otherwise. The Diamond Hats reserve the right to withdraw any item before or during the sale. Neither the Diamond Hats nor Oklahoma Youth Expo shall be liable for any personal injury on the premises where the auction is being held or in the removal of any items by the purchaser. Auction purchases may be tax deductible to the extent of the price paid exceeds fair market value. Claiming is responsibility of the buyer, in accordance with the IRS guidelines.
