OEC's PrePay a Viable Option for all Types of Members

Did you know OEC offers an alternative method of billing in addition to the traditional 'use now, pay later' option? In fact, OEC was the first co-op in Oklahoma to recognize a prepaid billing option could be a revolutionary alternative to traditional billing. Today, more than 14 years later, thousands of members enjoy the benefits of OEC PrePay.

"At the time, very few co-ops in the nation were looking at ways for members to prepay for their electricity," said Jonna Buck, vice president of administration. "Several, if not all, cell phone providers were offering prepaid services, and we thought 'why can't we?' It has turned out to be a great options for a lot of people."

HOW PREPAY WORKS

• Sign up: Contact Member Services by phone (405-321-2024) or via your SmartHub mobile app.

• Load up: Select an amount to deposit into your account.

• Review alerts: We’ll notify you via email and/or text message once your account reaches the low balance threshold. To avoid automatic disconnect (when your account balance reaches zero), refill your account.

• Reload: When your balance is low, simply make a payment using any of our convenient payment options or sign into your account.
