A Letter from Kevin Cohrs Dear Plateau Club Members, Fall has officially arrived at The Plateau Club, and there’s a lot to look forward to as we head into the cooler months. From facility upgrades to a full slate of new events, October is shaping up to be a great month at the Club. First, a couple of updates from the Rec Center. The HVAC system has been repaired and is running smoothly, as well as the steam room in the men’s locker room. We appreciate your patience while we worked to get those back online. You may have also noticed one of our biggest clubhouse changes yet — we’ve opened the wall between the lounge and restaurant, significantly expanding our seating and creating a great new space for families and friends to gather. We’ll continue building out the space in the coming weeks with additional TVs, giving you even more places to catch all the football action this season. Chef Peter’s Fall Menu Refresh debuts Friday, October 9th, in the Red Alder Lounge, and I think you’re going to love it! On the golf side, we’d also like to recognize our October Team Member of the Month, Ryan Ho! Ryan has been a bright light for our golf operation all year and has consistently gone above and beyond. From helping with events, kids’ camps and clinics to the way he interacts with our members and fellow staff, Ryan brings a positive attitude and great energy to everything he does. He was an easy choice this month, and we’re grateful to have him on our team. Swing by the Pro Shop and congratulate Ryan! Cameron also has a fun lineup of events planned to keep things lively on the course, including the Mission Impossible Golf Tournament and our brand-new Trick-or-Treat Scramble — the perfect way to get into the Halloween spirit while enjoying a round.

New this year is our Homecoming Dance, featuring live music from The Pioneer Squares to get everyone out on the dance floor. We’ll be crowning a Homecoming King and Queen, along with awards for Best Dressed, so come ready to have some fun. And we need your help — dig out those old high school photos, because we’ll be putting them to good use throughout the evening! Rounding out the month, bring the kids to the Kids’ Pumpkin Carving on October 24th, and don’t miss our annual Halloween Party on October 30th for a spooky night of fun for the whole family. Here’s to kicking off the fall with plenty of fun, great food, and time together at the Club. I look forward to seeing you all around The Plateau Club soon! Warm Regards,

Kevin Cohrs

GOLF

Words From The Shop October at The Plateau Club As we turn the calendar to October, we want to thank everyone for another fantastic golf season at The Plateau Club! It has been a busy year filled with great competition, memorable events, and plenty of fun along the way. From our weekly leagues and championships to member-guests and special events, it has been wonderful to see so many members enjoying the golf course and supporting our golf programming throughout the season. While the heart of the tournament season may be behind us, there is still plenty of golf left to play! Fall is officially in the air, but we should still have some beautiful Pacific Northwest golf days ahead of us. Grab an extra layer, enjoy the changing colors, and take advantage of the course whenever the weather cooperates. PC Winter Series Coming Soon The Golf Shop is also excited to keep the fun going throughout the offseason with our PC Winter Series! This series will feature a collection of fun and unique golf events throughout the fall and winter, all of which will be open to the entire membership. Expect creative formats, different ways to experience the golf course, and a little friendly competition during a time of year when the golf slows down. Keep an eye out for the complete PC Winter Series schedule and registration information, which will be published soon! Thank you again to everyone who helped make this season such a great one!

Keeper of the Greens With September coming to an end, the biggest update I have is regarding our greens aerification. Unfortunately, due to a necessary piece of equipment being out of order that is used for the topdressing portion of the process, we have had to push back our greens aerification. We are currently looking at the second week of October, but we have some backup plans in place in the event that this timing isn’t possible. I am currently reaching out to other courses to see if we can borrow a machine, as well as looking into rental options. If neither of these options is possible, the worstcase scenario would be to go through the winter using a more aggressive schedule of needle tining to help alleviate compaction and improve water infiltration. Other ongoing projects around the course have included additional brush cutting in the forced carries and along pond edges, as well as clearing out the stream on 13. The goal of clearing the stream is to allow more water to flow freely and prevent it from backing up into the lower sections of rough on that hole. Over the years, sediment has collected in the stream bed, essentially raising the bottom until it was nearly even with the edges. It’s not the quickest process, as I am having the work done by hand to avoid tearing or compromising the pond liner underneath the rocks. While it takes some time, this approach allows us to address the issue without risking damage to the liner. I look forward to seeing you out enjoying the course, and as always, thank you for your continued support!

SOCIAL & DINING

Robert’s Corner Plateau Club Members, Now that we are turning the corner on Summer and Fall is nipping at our heels, it will be only a matter of days until Chef launches his new fall menu. I just got a peek at it, and it looks very interesting. It you don’t know what a Bavette (cut of beef) is, look it up! (So, so good!) While we are entering into or slower season, I would like to remind all of you that the calendar for next year is starting to fill up. So, if you are interested in having an event here at the Clubhouse next Spring/Summer please let me know as soon as possible and I will at least “hold the date” for you. And one last note, we are in the process of putting together the last Wine Mixer/ Stock Your Cellar event on November 6th. You will not want to miss that one. I have not finalized the wineries and wines that will be poured just yet, but it is shaping up to be a good one. Lastly, we had one of our music acts cancel on us, so I replaced them with Andre Feriante. He is a world class musician/guitarist. He has played all over the world and more locally at Benaroya Hall, and Triple Door. I sincerely hope you all get the chance to come out and hear his music at Friday Night Live. Thank you for an amazing Summer. Now, let’s see what we can do with Fall!

RECREATION

Recreation Updates Hello Members! Fall is here, and October brings a different kind of energy to The Plateau Club. The kids are back in school, the mornings are getting cooler, and many of us are settling back into our regular routines. The Rec Center is still a great place to stay active, get together with friends, or spend some family time at the Club. Whether that means an early morning workout, a lap in the pool, yoga with Anitha, a game of pickleball or tennis, or simply finding a reason to get moving, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the Rec Center this fall. And, of course, October means Halloween! We have two fun events coming up, so be sure to save the dates. Now, let’s welcome fall! HOURS

Yoga is a great way to work on flexibility, balance, stretching, and mindful movement while giving yourself an opportunity to slow down and reset.

THE POOL IS OPEN YEAR-ROUND!

Even though summer is behind us, the pool is still here for you! Thanks to our continued partnership with IST, the main pool remains open year-round for member lap swimming, recreational swimming, and aquatic programming. The main pool is maintained at approximately 84°F, making it a comfortable option even as the temperatures outside begin to drop.

Seasonal Pool Updates

The baby pool has been winterized for the fall season as part of our normal preparation for the colder months. This helps protect the equipment and systems through the winter. The main pool remains open year-round. As always, please take a quick cleansing shower before entering the pool. Temporary closures may also be necessary during unsafe weather conditions.

Fall Swim Lessons

Want to keep the kids swimming this fall? Private and semi-private swim lessons may be available on a limited basis, depending on instructor availability.

Lesson Pricing

· Private Lessons — $45 (30 minutes) · Semi-Private Lessons — $35 (30 minutes) Semi-private lessons work best when swimmers are at similar skill levels. To check availability or schedule a lesson, contact the Rec Center: pcreccenter@plateauclub.com | 425.868.2139

Pickleball & Tennis

The cooler weather doesn’t mean the fun stops! October is a great time to get back on the courts and enjoy a game with friends. Whether you’re an experienced player or still learning the basics, tennis and pickleball are great ways to stay active and connect with other members. For pickleball games and group play, members can join our Plateau TeamReach group. Group: Plateau Code: 098074 Remember to reserve tennis and pickleball courts through the Member Hub when required, or check with the Rec Desk for availability.

Fall Fitness - Keep the Routine Going!

Fall is a great time to establish a routine that can carry you through the rest of the year. Try setting a few simple goals: Get in a weekly lap swim Schedule regular gym time Join a yoga class Set up a weekly pickleball or tennis game Plan some active family time at the Club It doesn’t have to be complicated. Find something you enjoy and make it part of your routine.

Rec Center Reminders

A few friendly reminders as we move into the fall season: - Please remember to sign in when using the Rec Center. - Members are responsible for following the Club’s guest policies. - Please wipe down gym equipment after use. - Return weights and other equipment to their proper locations. - Please help us keep the pool deck and surrounding areas clean. - Remember to reserve courts and check in at the Rec Desk when required. These small things help keep the Rec Center clean, organized, and enjoyable for everyone. Thank you for helping us take care of the facilities we all enjoy!

The Steam is Back!

Good news, members — the Men’s Steam Room is back up and running! After being out for repairs, the steam is officially flowing again, and we’re ready to welcome you back. Just finished a workout? Come warm up and unwind. Got some tired or aching muscles? Let the steam help you relax. Or maybe you just need a few quiet minutes to yourself? We’ve got you covered. Stop by the Rec Center and enjoy the hot steam back in the Men’s Steam Room! Thanks for your patience while we worked through the repairs. We’re excited to have this amenity back and available for you to enjoy.

Looking Ahead

October is one of my favorite times of year at the Rec Center. The pace of summer has slowed down, school is back in session, and we start settling into the routines that carry us through the fall and winter. The main pool remains open year-round, and yoga, pickleball, tennis, and swim lessons continue to give members plenty of ways to stay active. And don’t forget our October events: Pumpkin Carving – October 24 Halloween Party – October 30 We’re looking forward to seeing our members and families enjoying the Club this fall. Thank you for being part of the Plateau Club community. Have a wonderful October, and I’ll see you around the Rec Center!
