THE PLATEAU

A Letter from Kevin Cohrs

May is shaping up to be a great month at The Plateau Club. We’d like to start by extending a warm welcome to our newest members, along with our new Head Golf Professional, Cameron Bajaj. Cameron brings a fresh perspective, great energy, and a passion for delivering an exceptional golf experience, and we’re excited to have him on board.

We’re also pleased to announce the seasonal opening of Splash Café and Crooked Stick Café on May 23rd. With warmer days on the horizon, these will be great spots to relax, unwind, and spend time with family and friends around the pool. Be sure to check out the updated menus—Chef Peter has introduced some fantastic new offerings for the season.

Our team has put together a well-rounded and fun-filled schedule for May. Favorites like Jackpot Night return, along with two Friday Night Live events. We’re also excited to host Callaway for another fitting day—an excellent opportunity to dial in your equipment for the season. Mother’s Day Brunch is just around the corner, and reservations are filling quickly, so be sure to secure your spot soon.

With May also comes the return of our swim team and the lively energy that fills the Club this time of year. It’s always great to see families back at the pool and kids enjoying another fun and active season.

As always, I encourage you to keep an eye on the monthly calendar so you don’t miss any of the great events and opportunities to get involved.

We look forward to seeing you around the Club this month.

Warm regards,

GOLF

Words From The Shop

Plateau Members,

My name is Cameron Bajaj, and I am thrilled to join the team as The Plateau Club’s newest Head Golf Professional! I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself to all of you, and I’m excited to meet each of you in person very soon. I grew up in Colorado and attended school in Colorado Springs, where I competed in the PGA Golf Management Program. Following that, I spent three years working as a golf professional at two different clubs in Colorado, gaining valuable experience. Most recently, I spent the past two years at Twin Dolphin, a private golf club in Cabo San Lucas. That experience allowed me to further develop my approach to running a premier golf operation, and provided a pretty special experience for myself living in Mexico for a year and a half!

I’m bringing a high level of energy and a deep passion for the game of golf with me to The Plateau Club. I look forward to being actively involved in all aspects of the golf operationtournaments, clinics, and the golf shop. I hope to continue the great success Kevin has had in this role while helping create a fun, engaging, and welcoming atmosphere for all members.

Outside of golf, I enjoy just about anything and everything outdoors. I’ve recently taken up padel (along with a little pickleball), and I’m looking forward to getting back on the slopes after a couple of seasons away. I’m also a big sports fan, enjoy trying new restaurants, and like to play poker when I have some free time.

Over the next 30 days, you’ll see me spending a lot of time on the practice tees, around the golf course, and in the golf shop. My goal is simple: to meet as many of you as possible, as quickly as possible! My door is always open. I would love for you to stop by, introduce yourself, and share any thoughts or ideas you may have about the golf operation. Even better, whenever possible, I enjoy getting to know members out on the golf course. I’d love the opportunity to get out and play with you.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I’m excited to be here and look forward to a great season ahead.

Keeper of the Greens

As we are coming to the end of April you can finally see that spring has arrived. The turf is in its annual growth spurt as it is consuming its stored carbohydrates and soaking up all the excess ground moisture and enjoying the long awaited warm temperatures. As well as mowing more frequently, we have also taken the opportunity to add more sand to some of our bunkers that have been in much need.

The bunkers that we have added sand to are 1 & 2 fairways, and 10, 11, and 12 greensides, with more to come. With the season picking up and more rounds of golf being enjoyed, broken tee caddies have been put out, as well as divot mix on the par 3’s. Using these while you are out playing is very helpful to my staff, as well as your fellow members in order to keep our tee boxes clean and divots repaired in a timely manner.

I thank you for your efforts, and I look forward to seeing you all out here enjoying the course.
