• Study abroad opportunities in 14 different countries are available to KSN students.

• Only 16 months required to earn a second bachelor’s degree in nursing.

• 11 hospital systems, both urban and rural, for undergraduate clinical experience.

• KSN students have a variety of academic and community organizations available to them, including the Black Nurses Association, International Nursing Student Association, Nurses Christian Fellowship, Sigma Theta Tau, and the Student Nurses Association.

• KSN has a special partnership with Duncan Regional Hospital allowing opportunities for those living in Stephens County, Jefferson County and/or Southwestern Oklahoma to attend the program.

• RN-BSN is also offered in Norman and at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.

The Meinders Nursing Simulation Center features several key components to a cutting-edge nursing education, including seven fully equipped simulated hospital rooms. Each hospital room has an anatomically correct simulation manikin ranging from newborn to adult. These manikins are used to simulate actual patient medical scenarios to prepare students for reallife situations.

freshman scholarships SCHOLARSHIPS BASED ON ADMISSION Upon admission to the university, OCU students are eligible to receive freshman academic merit awards, ranging from $1,500/year to $7,800/year, as well as departmental awards, which can range anywhere from $1,000/year to $11,000/year. Priority deadline is March 1.

COMPETITIVE SCHOLARSHIPS Fall 2021-Spring 2022 Your application for admission will also be your application for competitive scholarships. Deadlines and details are below.

February 1 - Priority Competitive Scholarship Application Deadline If you would like to be considered for competitive scholarships, please submit a resume and an additional letter of recommendation to admissions@okcu.edu, if not already included in your application materials.

Notifications will be made by March 31.

All university scholarships require full-time enrollment.

CLARA LUPER SCHOLARSHIP Amount: Up to full block tuition, standard room and board AMERICAN INDIAN SCHOLARSHIP Amount: Up to full block tuition, standard room and board OCULEADS: PRESIDENT’S LEADERSHIP CLASS Amount: Varies SPEECH AND DEBATE SCHOLARSHIP Amount: $1,500 - $6,000 annually WORLD HOUSE SCHOLARS Amount: $2,000 for a study abroad experience and $500 for eight semesters toward tuition UNITED METHODIST SCHOLARSHIPS As a United Methodist affiliated university, OCU offers several special scholarship opportunities for United Methodist students. ESPORTS SCHOLARSHIPS Students wishing to compete on our varsity level Esports team are eligible to try out for talent based scholarship awards. Scholarship amounts vary and are stackable with other university merit scholarships but may not exceed the full-block tuition rate.
