Spectrum of Harmonies March 29, 2020 3pm Thelma Gaylord Theatre Presented by Canterbury Voices Canterbury presents a world premiere! Of Perpetual Solace is a poetic and lyrical reflection on grief, loss and love on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the Murrah Building bombing. Commissioned in honor of Canterbury’s golden anniversary, the multimedia work by Oklahoma composer Edward Knight and lyricist/visual artist M.J. Alexander will feature 200 singers, the Oklahoma City University Symphony Orchestra, and an ethereal sound world of remembrance, resilience and hope. In addition to this debut performance, audiences will enjoy John Rutter’s Te Deum and a mosaic of shorter works for chorus and orchestra.

THE OKLAHOMA CITY PROJECT April 17 & 18, 2020 Freede Little Theatre Presented by Oklahoma City Repertory Theatre We come here to remember those who were killed, those who survived and those changed forever.

The Oklahoma City Project gives voice to those whose lives were changed forever by the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building on April 19, 1995.

Created by Oklahoma City playwright and OKC Rep co-founder Ruth Charnay, this readers’ theater production shares, in their own words, the experiences of survivors, first responders and families of those who were killed.

Originally shown in 2005 as part of the National Week of Hope, The Oklahoma City Project is presented once again to commemorate the 25th anniversary of that dark day in our city’s history, and the remarkable spirit and resilience of its people.

Roald Dahl’s CHARLIE & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY May 12-17, 2020 Thelma Gaylord Theatre Presented by OKC Broadway Roald Dahl’s amazing tale is now Oklahoma City’s golden ticket! LA SERVA PADRONA & SERVICE PROVIDER May 14-17, 2020 Thelma Gaylord Theatre Presented by Painted Sky Opera There are many ways to start and end romantic relationships in today’s modern world. Painted Sky Opera investigates two of these ways in these comedic one-acts.

La Serva Padrona brings two unlikely lovers together in this classic example of the old adage that “opposites attract.” Serpina and Uberto seem incompatible when viewed from afar. Serpina is bubbly and clever while Uberto is grumpy and serious, but even worse is that Uberto is also Serpina’s boss. Yet somehow, there is a strange attraction between the two which plays out with hilarious results in this updated version of this classic gem.

Service Provider demonstrates the danger of cell phones to the health of a relationship in this witty satire. Autumn and Beau are on an anniversary date at a restaurant that goes horribly wrong when Autumn can’t stop texting and Beau’s lover unexpectedly shows up.

Charlie Price has reluctantly inherited his father’s shoe factory, which is on the verge of bankruptcy. While trying to save his family business, Charlie finds inspiration from Lola, a fabulous drag entertainer in need of some sturdy stilettos. As they work to turn the factory around, this unlikely pair find that they have more in common than they ever dreamed possible, and discover that when you change your mind, you can change your world.
