On move-in day, upperclassmen greet you at your car and carry your belongings to your room – a first glimpse of the community that defines OBU.
You’ll learn the legendary “Ka-Rip” chant during Ka-Rip Wars (pictured here), and take part in The Walk, experiencing the spirit and traditions that connect generations of Bison.
You’ll also join more than 500 students and employees for Serve Shawnee, working side by side on meaningful service projects across the community.

How does free tuition work?
OBU’s Bison Pact makes private Christian education affordable for families who qualify for Oklahoma’s Promise. OBU covers the remaining tuition and general student fees after other state, federal and OBU aid have been applied.

Whether you’re looking for a personalized, one-on-one experience or a high-energy group event, we offer two visit options designed to meet you where you are:
Personalized Campus Visits are available most weekdays, these visits are tailored to your interests and goals. You’ll start with a welcome session, then explore campus alongside a student ambassador. During your visit, you’ll meet with a professor in your area of interest, learn more about student life and involvement, and connect one-on-one with your admissions counselor. Every part of your visit is designed to help you envision your future at OBU.
Bison Day is an immersive, full-day visit experience designed to help you see life at OBU firsthand. Your day includes a welcome session, chapel with the campus community, sitting in on a class, meeting with academic leaders in your area of interest, lunch in the cafeteria, a guided campus tour, and Life on the Hill, where you’ll explore student life and ways to get involved. Along the way, you’ll meet the people who will support you academically, spiritually and personally.
