This years National Aboriginal Day event was held at Komasket park. The day started off with lots of sunshine, pancakes, and sausage. The breakfast was hosted by chief and council. To open the day, there was a welcome from Allan Louis and prayer from Patricia Gregoire and some hand drumming. The first event of the day was the annual Run for the Drum. The runners ran from the ball park to the first set of cattle guards at the Daycare all to way to other cattle guards beside Public Works and back for a total of 2.5kms. The family based event had a bannock making station, a dress up station, spear throwing station, and some obstacle courses. At 1pm the bingo cards came out. A few games were played until the rain and thunder came rolling in. Everything was taking down fast with the help of everyone pitching in, and then food was moved to the HOL hall. The storm didn`t hinder the day as a lot of people showed up for dinner and it got to point where there were almost not enough chairs. During the dinner
