NEXT What if the future depended entirely upon you – or even only upon your church? Would there be hope for the NEXT Generation? I often ponder, who will fill my shoes? Who will carry the Gospel to those who have never heard? Where will the future Pentecostal leaders encounter the call of God and have an opportunity to allow the Holy Spirit’s guidance regarding life-long commitments? In Oklahoma, thousands point to the impact of an experience at Turner Falls. For it was during a Kid’s Kamp or a Youth Camp credentialed ministers and ministers’ companions:

Will you - as a credentialed minister - join me in the cause?

IF NOT NOW – WHEN? IF NOT US – WHO? IF NOT IN OKLAHOMA – WHERE?

We stand facing an opportunity that only comes once to a generation. We must answer the call. The NEXT Generation awaits our response!

I need to hear from you – if the dream is to become a reality!

Resources for Setting Compensation You don’t have to look very deep or long inside a church budget to see that compensation makes up the heftiest portion of its operational expense. I know of churches which spend as little 30% of their operational budgets on staffing and churches which spend as much as 80%. Whether this compensation percentage falls in the lean or the fat category will depend on several factors such as church size, staff size, staff tenure, the city in which the church is located, and many other factors beyond the scope of this article. The old adage, “you get what you pay for” is not always

Whether a church is staffing for growth, or looking to fill a previously occupied position, the church and board needs to know not only how much it can afford to pay (a crucial piece of information no doubt), but also what the industry standard is for the position for which it is trying to fill. In Memory Of Rosemary Hollandsworth 9/12/1929 - 7/16/2011 Rosemary was born on September 12, 1929, in Yampa, Colorado, to Michael J. and Opal E. Ryder and was ushered into Heaven on July 16, 2011. Rosemary was an amazing lady - full of strength, kindness, laughter and love! She met her husband, Ralph, at First Assembly of God Church in Grand Junction, Colorado. After their wedding in 1950, and graduation from Central Bible College, they served as pastors in Blair, Oklahoma. Later, they were accepted as missionary candidates and in 1956, sailed to Liberia, West Africa to begin serving as career missionaries. They lived in a small bush town which was accessible only by plane, or a three day walk to the nearest road. One story recounts how Ralph would walk with her up and down the airstrip each evening, trying to get her tired enough so that she would sleep, and not notice the snakes, spiders, scorpions and other manner of animals which scurried about in

Paul Hutsell 5/12/1929 - 3/19/2011 Reverend Paul Hutsell passed away in Roswell, New Mexico on Saturday, March 19, 2011. Reverend Hutsell was recognized for 50 years of ministerial service at the Oklahoma District Council in 1998, and served as an Oklahoma missionary for many years. Paul and Dreta were approved as Assemblies of God missionaries in 1955, and served in Paraguay, South America for their first assignment until 1970.

Their next assignment sent them to Honduras for four years. The final twenty-one years of foreign missionary work were spent as Area Directors for the South American Andean Region of Colombia, Venezuela, Ecaudor, Peru and Bolivia for thirteen years, then doing the same for the Caribbean area for eight years. After semi-retiring, Paul continued to promote missions in the southwestern region of the United States for many years on behalf of the

She and Ralph worked in Liberia from 19561974 and in Ghana from 1975-1996. After retirement, they lived in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and in 2005 moved to Gig Harbor, Washington, to be with their daughter. Rosemary and Ralph were married for nearly 60 years when he passed away. She is survived by her daughter and son-inlaw, Rebecca and Jim Brooks of Gig Harbor; sister, Jean Dunn of Grand Junction; brother, Steve Clark of Grand Junction; three grandchildren, Beth, Jim, Jr. and John; and four great-grandchildren.
