Excitement permeated the atmosphere as the Oklahoma family gathered for an April District Council. The outstanding attendance and enthusiastic participation set the tone for a spiritual experience charged with the presence of God. The district website contains all messages preached during the meeting. One will find the website at www.okag.org. You can access, free of charge, a list of services and speakers by clicking on “media” and follow directions. Formats are available to download video/audio for those using high-speed internet or audio only versions for those with slower connectivity.

Linda and I are grateful and most appreciative to serve this Fellowship. We are honored – but we are also convinced that THE BEST DAYS ARE YET TO COME! On Tuesday morning, I was given the opportunity to share my heart and my vision as your Pastor. I have received many gracious comments and words of encouragement since preaching that message. If you have internet, please take time to view – www.okag.org/524277.ihtml . You are welcome to share with leaders or your entire congregation. A powerful video was introduced that launches “NEXT Generation” and captures the spirit of our mission. You will find that video, available for your use, at www.okag.org/550762.ihtml . If you prefer the above items by means of DVD, please phone our office – 405.475.1100 - and ask for Karen Wooten or Barbara Miller. You may also contact them via email: karen.wooten@okag.org or barbara.miller@okag.org.

It is a joy to serve our Oklahoma family! NEXT…EXPECT A MIRACLE! Frank and Linda Cargill

We would like for you to make a bid Many of our churches have individuals who have been in support of the ministries of the local church. There are companies who have sown into the church through giving of time, energy, and money. We would like to give back for your faithfulness. You are aware that we are in the process of building our new camp facilities at Sparks. We would love for those within your church to bid on any portion of the construction. Please let them know that it is a competitive bid and that all Specs will have to be adhered to. Bids will be granted according to abilities, equipment, time, and cost.

REACHING MEN… in an Event that

SPEAKS THEIR LANGUAGE

Archery, camouflage, wild game food, rockin’ music, and lots of hunting and fishing giveaways made up for an experience in creative church outreach. There was even a huge bass tank with a fishing demonstration from a professional. Also, a falcon trainer was invited with a live falcon. It was one of the coolest men’s events I’ve ever attended. Lawton First Assembly’s men’s ministry (M.O.B – Men of the Bible) put on their annual “Wild Game Dinner” - open only to guys! OK, let me say what it wasn’t: It wasn’t preachy, stiff or slow. Rather, it was energetic, illustrative, to the point and unapologetic in presenting the gospel truth. And, the evening closed with a high-dollar rifle giveaway. It was a true celebration of “guyness.” I was invited to meet the men and say a few words. My comments were bold, but true: “There’s really no ministry more important in the local church than men’s ministry.” I stand by those words primary because of what the statistics show. If dad can be reached, over 90 percent of the time the entire family will be reached. Applause to the M.O.B for tapping into something BIG!

/ MISSIONS

OKLAHOMA’S NEWEST MISSIONARY Amanda is the daughter of missionaries Kevin and Eunice Tyler; the majority of her growing up years was spent in Germany and Ukraine. Called into ministry during high school, Amanda attended Southwestern Assemblies of God University and received a bachelor’s degree in cross-cultural communications and an associate degree in music. Amanda first served in the Republic of Georgia, working with refugees. At that time, she felt God leading her to pursue working with Teen Challenge, so she has been working at the women’s Teen Challenge program in Ireland for the last year. An ordained minister with the Oklahoma district, Amanda plans to serve with Teen Challenge in Southern Asia-doing whatever she can to relieve physical needs so that people can know the love of God. Amanda’s desire is to see Teen Challenge bring about change not only in the lives of individuals but in the lives of the community.

Kudos to the Oklahoma churches, pastors, evangelists and missionaries for their tenacity for missions. In spite of less than desirable economics missions giving remains steady to strong. Our itinerating missionaries are reaching budget and being cleared to leave. People are praying and many are sacrificing to see that the needs stay met. PTL! Please notice the number of missionaries that have reached budget this spring and are now at their assigned place of ministry. Of course, we see a rather large group of missionaries returning to Oklahoma through the remainder of this year. With this entrance and exit traffic we also see more attrition than usual. God knows what He is doing. Now, to the specifics of who is leaving, who is returning, and who needs more time on the fast track of itineration.

Met Budget and On the Field The Stephen Snows, the Charlie Browns, the Kevin Tylers, the Josh Johnsons, the Stephen Graches and the Garo Nargizes have all met budget and are now at their assigned place of service.

Stateside or on Their Way Home The Trent Morrows, the Jason Robertses, the Grady Smallings, Stephen Kuert, the Kirk Fords, and Fari Rider.
