ZAP CONCEPT ZAP CONCEPT IS AN INNOVATIVE AND FLEXIBLE FURNITURE CONCEPT THAT REVOLUTIONIZES THE WAY WE DESIGN LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS.
WHY ZAP CONCEPT? ..... because ZAP Concept is a functional, flexible and mobile work station, making it easy to convert otherwise passive areas and outdoor spaces into work places for both students and teachers. ZAP Concept can replace parts of the existing furniture or be incorporated to the school’s existing interior and architecture – and create even greater freedom in teaching and spaces for differentiated learning.
Zap Board Made of 6 mm high pressure compressed beech veneer. The many layers of resin used in the construction of the board makes it flame retardant.
Zap Meeting The space-saving table stand with up to 6 Zap Boards can rapidly create additional student work places.
The embossed edge, helps you keep track of your writing equipment.
Zap Wall rail The aluminium Wall rail is provided in 4 different lengths. Also suitable as a gallery display.
Zap Totem Available in two heights: 88 cm and 131 cm - With Zap Totem students can choose the preferred working height.

CASE BORK SCHOOL Bork School has chosen to let Zap concept form an integrated part of teaching in all six grades within the school. All school students and teachers have their own personal Zap Board in interaction with Zap Wall rails which effectively converts otherwise passive areas and outdoor spaces into workplaces for both young and older users.

Zap Rubber bands Keeps track of student documents and materials - contributes to colour variations and an individual look.
The Zap Board and Zap Totem are ideal as rostrum and Zap Totem is also a perfect storage place when the Zap Boards are not in use.
Even for the youngest pupils the Zap Board is easy to handle.
The extremely durable Zap Board offers multiple applications and provides the student with a sense of ownership.
The Zap Totem is made of durable massive bamboo sticks which contributes to a very long and sustainable life cycle.
The Zap Totem comes in both an indoor and outdoor version.
The space in corners or close to the wall can be exploited by placing Zap Meeting against the wall. An acoustic partition wall allows for a concentrated and shielded work space even with more people around the table. The Zap Totem Outdoor is weather resistant.

CASE FJERRITSLEV HIGHSCHOOL In the media rooms at Fjerritslev High School Zap concept is included to complement the other furniture, and is superbly incorporated into the architecture. Zap Concept paves the way for greater flexibility and optimizes the otherwise unused square meters, which encourage the teacher to incorporate many shifts in working and teaching methods during their class.

SUSTAINABILITY At Højer Møbler, we aim high and have high expectations of ourselves and our subcontractors – also when it comes to ensuring that we prioritise as little impact on the environment as possible. Therefore we have a sustainable production and continuously seek to improve in this area. While producing Zap Concept we have focused on using natural materials and having as little material waist as possible. All components can be separated and either reused or disposed of individually.
Why ZAP CONCEPT? ...because a learning environment is not necessarily a class room. Walking areas, niches and common areas can be activated as temporary working areas for both individual assignments as well as teamwork. More passive areas can be exploited in order to help create room for learning – with room for practical exercises and where the learning space supports movement as a natural part of the learning process.
