01 ART GALLERY EXTENSION
The floor plan was designed in Rhino and edited in photoshop. The 3D models were rendered in sketchup and twinmotion.
In this project, I was taxed with expanding an existing building with a two-storey extension. The clients asked to try and include the following spaces in their new extension, to complement the facilities they already have: small foyer, WCs, 1 small office, storage, gallery space, Indoor event room for up to 100 people, Outdoor space that interacts with the building, to include an element of children’s play, café (& community-use) kitchen, café seating area, circulation space,a link into the existing Courtyard Arts building, 8 cycle parking spaces

02 PARADISE
The floor plan was designed in Rhino and edited in photoshop. The 3D models were rendered in sketchup and twinmotion.
In this task, I was asked to work-up in detail a proposal for 3 or 4 apartment blocks containing 8-12 flats each, internal spaces for community use, and a shared external landscape area. The block should contain a single type of shared apartment, designed to accommodate shared living in an innovative way. My tartgeted clients are retirees looking to downsize from their current home. My design is perfect for those who now have an empty nest, are struggling to deal with the upkeep of their home or are finding the related costs hard to deal with. It is ideal for senior residents looking for a change, want to simplify their lives, or want to move closer to friends or family members.

ESSAY & COLLAGE
In the essay and collage project, my task was to produce a 1000 word Harvard-referenced essay which inculded a bibliography of atleast 10 sources. In the design component of my essay (the collage), I was to produce a single image, A4 format, that condenses the topic and ideas explored in my essay. In my project, I focused on the question of modernism and its relevance today and as a response, I presented the five points of Le Corbusier as an element of Modernism which still echoes in contemporary architecture. My collage consists of Le Corbusier himself and some architectural buildings that were influenced by his “Five Points”.
