Key Questions Regarding the Application Process for the oikos LEAP and FutureLAB 2018 I applied for the LEAP Presidents or Advanced Track. Do I have to apply for the FutureLab as well? YES, oikos LEAP and FutureLab are two different programs/events of oikos, therefore application process takes place separately. oikos members for LEAP Presidents Track are accepted automatically. LEAP Advanced Track participants are accepted based on their motivation. In case of FutureLab, chapters should nominate ONE member for the FutureLab (it can be a chapter president, board member, or any other chapter member), this person will be accepted automatically. Any other chapter member who wants to attend the FutureLab, can apply as well. These members will be selected according to their motivation.
I registered for the LEAP Presidents Track. Do I have to apply for the LEAP Advanced as well? NO, if you registered for the LEAP Presidents Track, you do not need to apply for the LEAP Advanced. You can decide if you want to join LEAP Advanced or not during the LEAP Meeting in October.

oikos LEAP Meeting 2018 When? From October 19 to 25

Application Deadline: September 9 What is the LEAP Meeting? The oikos LEAP Meeting will be a gathering point for over 60 millennials from around the world. The Meeting will bring together representatives of the oikos LEAP Presidents and Advanced Tracks. We will also welcome participants from our partner organizations: rootAbility, National Union of Students UK, REFEDD and Euforia.
What is the LEAP Presidents Track? The LEAP Presidents Track, as the name suggests, is designed for oikos chapter presidents and the international Executive Board (NB: a designated representative, can replace a president if he/she cannot participate). It includes 2 on-sight meetings and 3 webinars. We highly encourage and recommend every participant to implement lessons learned in LEAP in their chapters and disseminate knowledge among the chapter members.
What is the LEAP Advanced Track? The LEAP Advanced is the most intensive LEAP track. This 9-month long development program places its attention on participant's individual journey, and challenges and encourages them to reflect on their values. The Track includes 2 on-sight meetings, a number of peer-to-peer calls, one-to-one coaching sessions and webinars with world-renowned leadership experts. The LEAP Meeting in Leysin will kick of the Advanced Track for the new 2018/2019 class.
These Tracks merge during the LEAP Meeting 2018 Almost all LEAP Meeting sessions will be a joint venture where the LEAP Presidents and Advanced Track participants will take part together. However, the program includes a few sessions that will target participants from a specific LEAP Track.
How to apply for the LEAP Meeting 2018? Presidents Track: ONLY ONE CHAPTER MEMBER can register for the LEAP Meeting as a Presidents Track participant. Usually, this member is a chapter president, however if she/he cannot attend the meeting a designated representative is welcome to register. Chapters will decide who this person should be. NB: Presidents Track Participants can decide to join the Advanced program before the end of the meeting, they do not need to apply for the Advanced Track separately. The application form for presidents is here. Advanced Track: ANY CHAPTER MEMBER can apply for the LEAP Meeting as an Advanced participant. oikos International will select participants for this track. For the first time ever, we encourage alumni to apply as well. The application form for Advanced participants is here.
THERE ARE NO FEES FOR YOU oikos International will cover your international travel (up to 400 CHF), accommodation and food for the duration of the Meeting. NB: Please, consider that you will need to purchase your own travel tickes, oikos will reimburse the amount up to 400 CHF after the Meeting.

Fall Legislative Meeting 2018 When? October 25, from 15:00 to 20:00 Where? ImpactHub Geneva, Switzerland What is the Legislative Meeting? Legislative Meeting brings together oikos chapter representatives to decide on a number of important organizational matters. During the meeting, they elect oikos International President and Executive Board Members, reflect on and review the shape of oikos network, grant full membership status to chapters in accession, close dormant chapters and evaluate the financial situation and performance of oikos.
What will we discuss during the Fall Legislative Meeting 2018? During the Fall Legislative Meeting 2018, in October oikos chapter representatives are expected to elect new members of oikos International Executive Board. To learn about other issues to be discussed follow updates here: https://oikos-international.org/lm/ The Fall Legislative Meeting in October will the 3rd LM for the oikos community. oikos held the 1st Legislative Meeting of 2018 before the Spring Meeting in Barcelona, in March. The 2nd Legislative Meeting took place online on May 31, 2018 with an aim to select oikos International auditors.
Who can attend the Legislative Meeting? Any oikos member who wants to attend the Meeting is welcome to join. You can extend your stay in Switzerland and attend the Legislative Meeting after the LEAP Meeting 2018 is over (We will provide transportation from Leysin to Geneva) or arrive before the FutureLab. Your accommodation and dinner will be covered by oikos either as part of LEAP or FutureLab package. NB: even though there is no limitation in terms of how many members of a single chapter will attend the meeting, each chapter has ONLY ONE vote.
What if no one from my chapter can attend the Legislative Meeting? No worries, we will broadcast the meeting live and will record it for our members who cannot attend the Legislative Meeting. If no one from your chapter is present, you can vote online.

Application Deadline: September 9 What is the oikos FutureLab? The oikos FutureLab is our annual flagship event to gather the global oikos family of student members, alumni, advisors, faculty and partners. It is not only a meeting to share perspectives on the future, but also a “laboratory” to design initiatives and engage the oikos community in pursuing them.
What is the Program of the FutureLab 2018? In 2018, the annual oikos FutureLab will be held in Geneva, Switzerland on October 26-27. The theme for this year’s event is “Building Lasting Change”, with an interactive program focusing on oikos’ goal to make change both in the classroom and in the broader world. Who can apply for the FutureLab? oikos Members: Every oikos member can apply to the FutureLab 2018. Each chapter is guaranteed to have ONE spot at the FutureLab. To secure this spot, you have to be nominated by your chapter and indicate so in the application form. Other chapter members are also encouraged to apply, in this case, oikos International will select the most suitable applicants. Are there any fees? oikos Members: in order to attend the oikos FutreLab, you will need to make a payment of 90 CHF. This covers your accommodation and food during the event. You are responsible for travel expenses from your home city to Geneva and back. Unfortunately, we cannot reimburse this expenses. NB: if you plan to attend both LEAP Meeting and FutureLab, your international travel will be covered as it will be considered as a part of the LEAP package. However, you will still need to pay the FutureLab participation fee. Alumni, young scholars, faculty, advisers, and partners are required to pay 190 CHF. NB: This includes food during the event, but not accommodation
