Midwest City, OK — Joe Edward Poe is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Top Professional in the field of Finance and in acknowledgment of his work with The Wilson Davis Company.

Mr. Poe has led a long and distinguished career in Finance that has spanned over two decades. Before starting his private career, he served honorably as a command pilot, a systems engineer, and a B-52 and missiles systems manager for the U.S. Air Force from 1953 to 1977. He was awarded two Meritorious Service Medals for his work with missiles and for serving as an SRAM systems manager. He was also honored with a Distinguished Flying Cross and eight air medals. During his service, Mr. Poe earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology in 1963. He subsequently obtained a Master’s degree in Business from San Diego State University. After his military service, Mr. Poe started his career as the Oklahoma City Housing Authority’s Executive Director in 1977. In 1981, he became the owner of his company, Joe E. Poe and Associates, Inc., until 2013. He continued his career as a Branch Manager and Registered Representative for several broker-dealers until 2016, when he started his present role with the Wilson Davis Company.

In his current role, Mr. Poe handles the majority of trading within the office, working with penny stock clients who have purchased large blocks of stocks from issuers. The firm serves more than 300 clients who are made aware of the requirements before trading their acquisitions. Looking toward the future, he intends to continue working in his current position until he can transition his work to his sons. Known for his contributions as a civic-minded citizen, Mr. Poe serves as a Board Member for Infant Crisis Services in Oklahoma City. He is also the chairman of the Midwest City Economic Development Commission.
