Welcome

URE extends a warm welcome to Hunter Hardesty, hired in January to train as a groundworker. He will enter into the COLT program in November.

He graduated from Spencerville High School and served in the U.S. Army for about six years. He served at Fort Bliss, Texas, and Fort Carson, Colorado, and also deployed to Iraq and Kuwait.

After the service, Hunter worked one year as a paper machine operator for Pratt Industries in Wapakoneta, Ohio.

Determined to switch careers, he enrolled in Northwest Lineman College in Edgewater, Florida, and completed the 15-week pre-apprenticeship program in December of 2022.

Hunter enjoys working and spending his time outdoors hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
