“Vincent ”

Vincents passion and absolute genius comes through in every brush stroke he ever made. His art and his life has influenced me since I was a young boy and even to this day I stand in awe of his brilliance.

Mackenzie is excited to announce the release of his brand new sculpture, a homage to one of his most favourite artists, Vincent Van Gogh.

With this sculpture I wanted to try and capture some of Vincents sadness and loneliness, which runs alongside the power and beauty in his work. I also wanted to acknowledge all the love and joy his art has brought to the world, sadly he didn’t get to see this in his own lifetime.

Behind the work

Mackenzie spent months sculpting the figure in his studio, experimenting with different compositions until he was finally happy.

Mackenzie wanted Vincent to have a fragility and vulnerability just like the artist himself.

We are so excited to share with you this new, unique and special sculpture.

From a Flower Falls seeds of love

An abundance of joy

Mackenzie opted for a classic green patina for Vincent and the stem, choosing to polish the heart, giving it a natural, beautiful, bronze glow.

Mackenzie has packed the sunflower head with hearts putting as much love into the flower as possible.
