Mackenzie is thrilled to release his latest captivating sculpture

‘Following In His Footsteps (Bronze)’. This special piece depicts the story of a father and child, inspired by Mackenzie’s own childhood.

This sculpture is one close to my heart, the warming bronze wraps around the figures and the red from the heart bounces out of the light demanding your attention and voicing a message of the importance and wonder of love...

Following In His Foosteps has been lovingly crafted and hand finished at a British based foundry and overseen by Mackenzie’s meticulous eye.

FOUNDRY | BEHIND THE SCENES

Mackenzie always takes a hands on approach throughout the sculpting process. Whilst the finishing touches took place at the foundry he personally directed the tone and colour of the patina, taking time to define both light and dark areas within the piece. Particular attention was given to the foundation, highlighting the footprints which add a true sense of movement alongside enhancing the look and feel of the sculpture.

The hand painted heart is a classic Mackenzie Thorpe red carefully selected and approved by the artist. Red hearts are synonymous throughout Mackenzie’s work, illlustrating his overriding message of LOVE.
