September 28, 2017 will be the most important date in the seven-year history of Close House and a momentous ocassion for golf, and sport, in the North East of England.
Come Thursday morning of British Masters week we will have been working on the event for two years, and preparing the Colt Course and estate for 18 months. Those preparations have gone incredibly smoothly thanks to the expertise of the team here, particularly Brian Clark and his greenstaff.
As well as preparing for the British Masters, we have continued to develop the Close House experience to ensure we lead the way for a members’ club. We continue to listen to our members’ needs and act on suggestions - whether that’s on the golf courses, at the PGA Academy or in No.19.
Graham Wylie’s vision for Close House has always been as a members’ club and I hope every member of Close House will take great pride in being part of the British Masters and enjoy the tournament week....
