Every year, our trucks travel millions of kilometres, sometimes on the most challenging roads in the world.

Faced with these extreme conditions, there comes a time when some components wear out and need to be replaced.

REGULATION FOCUS In order to guarantee a healthier environment, the European Union has implemented the Euro VI standard in 2014 setting new pollutant emission limits, in particular the need to filter fine particulates (carcinogenic components in the form of soot) for vehicles. In 2019, this regulation has becomes even stricter with the introduction of particulates counting. Therefore the design of a more efficient particulate filter is required.

PRODUCT FOCUS In order to fight against these harmful emissions and improve air quality on our planet, Renault Trucks has developed a whole post-treatment system, including a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) which is able to capture up to 99 % of fine particulates emitted by diesel engines. It is now standard on all Range T, C, K and D vehicles and is available in our Genuine new and eXchange offers.

MAINTENANCE FOCUS The DPF requires specific maintenance because during the burning of soot, inorganic components (ash) accumulate over time and clog the DPF. It is imperative to perform the mandatory maintenance (in the same way as for the air filters, oil ...) indicated in the maintenance schedule of the vehicle to avoid the following consequences:
